"If relying on the strength of others, just a stone's throw appears ten million ri away" The lyricism, and these lines in particular, is very effective, and indeed very upright and inspiring. The Moranbong Band's singers are the perfect touch to complement the SMC's power here. Some people sometimes say how much they love the sound of DPRK music, but dislike the imagery and lyrics, but it is clear to me now that one cannot exist without the other, a song with such a strong message needs a powerful and strong instrumental accompaniment, and the result is distinctly powerful music like here, unachievable without its strong (often politically powered) message and inspiration!
@@MBBHD Exactly, I mean, even some of the lyrics in western music like rap etc. are just meaningless nonsense that I suppose one doesn't need to consider making an opinion about it or even thinking about it at all.

I recently discovered the Moranbong Band (and DPRK music in general) and it’s really helped me learn about a side of the DPRK that Americans aren’t really informed about. There’s something about this music that’s really captivating me despite the fact that I’m not North Korean and the lyrics obviously don’t resonate the same way with me. It’s a shame Americans can’t travel there anymore because I would love to visit someday.

Yes, and of course you don't have to agree politically to everything you hear all the time. You do not usually agree to all stupid rap lyrics...
