Ich verstehe dass war ganz kurz
Merci !
Oh thank god I got it right. My German teachers would be very disappointed in me
@@meganmerrells2942 hahahaha keep up the good work. Viel Glück
She has no american accent when she speaks german. That’s pretty amazing.
but more like a Franconian German accent (fränkisch), which shines through very clearly
she does a little bit bruh
that comes from her german ancestry ^^ she lived her first 12 yrs in Nuremberg(Nürnberg)
Are u deaf? She obviously has an american accent lol
Her german is horrendous
She sounds very sweet in German! So polite!
czcams.com/video/sMG1nlQi5bg/video.html .,.,
because she is speaking g/herman@
Very polite!
"Ach, Mensch"
:D das ist so cool
Do youbsay that in germna or is it more jiddish?
@@Akuvision2011 jiddish ? why ? it's german. it's like "oh dear" ...
@@UserX860 sounded like a typical jiddish utterance, but not something i think Ive happened tonstumble upon inngerman previously - but thats sorted now then :)
@@Akuvision2011 ok.
@@Akuvision2011 think about it, german jews spread jiddish in Central europe and the USA? Jiddish is hebrew mixed with german words
She grew up as a child in Germany until the age of 12 and was fully raised in German. She held a dual citizenship until the age of 18 which she later did come to regret having it given away. She re-applied for German citizenship in 2009.
I was born in Germany and also had dual citizenship.,I gave that up but never had any regrets.
@@someoneelse6934 Which part did you give up , your german citizenship or your american ?
@@someoneelse6934 Without an American passport, you can travel safely.
@@phapnui huh
@@princess1peach Yep, uh huh.
I met her in Bavaria in 1988 because one of my English students is her Aunt. She wasn’t famous then and I met her while she was visiting her Aunt and Grandmother. She was very nice and friendly. She told me about her dreams of being an actress. I’m glad to have met her in person before she became famous because I always knew she would stay down to earth.
You can even hear the Franconian accent (spoken e.g. in Nuremberg where her family lived( when she is talking. I love it!
Franconia is one of my favorite parts of Germany. Beautiful tracht!! My family is also from that area. She speaks perfect
i lived in south africa for a while. i am serb. it was funny to me that serbs, born in africa, had exact same accent as their parents, but never lived in serbia.
She sounds so lovely 😍
My mom grew up in Nuremberg, too 🥺❤
Nermberch in Fronken.
I am Hispanic but I love and admire the German language. It is beautiful and strong all at once.
susimlevanim.blogspot.com/2018/12/blog-post_19.html
@Philip Robertson III you did :)
Si! And the Condor Legion!
Don’t worry. You can be hispanic and like other languages. Not “but” needed.
Love being Hispanic AND German ❤️
I flipped out when I heard her speaking German. I didn't think I could love her any more but that did it.
She said:
"Oh boy, ok, to my family in Germany I'd like to say: I love you, I miss you, and I'll see you real soon. Good night, go to bed. Sleep well."
Merci.
That giggle in the end is the best. GO SANDRA
Many of my friends went to the same school she went to in Nuremberg.
1 of my all time favorite people in the world. I wish I would meet her in person someday. I luv you Sandra🤗
Could
How cute! Fascinating how different she sounds when speaking german. I can even hear a slight accent, sounds like rather southern Germany
Flawless!
thanks for the translation!
She really has no american accent! So viel Liebe aus Deutschland! Such a great Artist and she still speaks fluent German! I could listen to her for hours!
Wunderbar!
Whaaat? No accent, she sounds like my family in Nuernberg. I also speak German without an accent and people never guess where I was born and raised.
I love the sound of the German language.
Me too!!
Wow! I wish she was my german teacher!!!!!!!! She would make me love taking german!!!!
She doesn’t even have an American accent it’s more like she even has a west German accent
Pretty impressive
Her mom was german, and i think in her bio she lived there until 6th grade?
that was really perfect.. I knew that she was part German but I didn't know that she speaks German fluently :D
shes amazing.
Excellent! Really surprised
Mind. Blown. Never knew she was one of us😊
Soo cool seeing a Hollywood star speaking German. I'm Brazilian and I really want to learn.
I'm impressed!
This was amazing I would have never expected such authentic German
I'm so happy I could understand her as a German student!

Du hast total recht das ist schließlich fast 70 Jahre her. You are totally right this is finally almost 70 years ago! Greatings from Germany
I loves how she speaks german
No "s" on love in that context friend
"Ach Mensch.. Okay... to Mein Familie in Deutschland mochte ich gerne sagen, ich lieb euch, ich vermisse euch und ich sehe euch ganz bald. Guten nacht... Geh ins bett! Schalf Gut". her German pronunciation is Spot on!!!
zu meiner*, möchte* gute* schlaf*
@@hugofreire7811 👍🏻👍🏻
Meine Familie...
Gute Nacht
Ach....Frau Bullock ist toll, egal in welcher Sprache.... :)
Amazing, her Deutsch is perfect
Amen!!! Well said.
Wikipedia writes about people like Sandra: "German Americans" (Deutschamerikaner) are citizens of the United States who were either born in Germany or are of German ancestry. Other famous Deutschamerikaner are: Bruce Willis, Doris Day, Meryl Streep, Diane Krüger, Leonardo di Caprio etc. Population of Deutschamerikaner in the USA are more than 50 Million.
Yes USA is more a German colony than a British one
a day may come when I watch a youtube video about german/germany without any comments about nazis or WW2... but it is not this day -.-
Sakiko Senpai When you see those comments, report them as hate speech.
German is one of my favorite languages
My future queen.
Eine tolle Schauspielerin, und super nett.
A great actress and really funny
echt cool
Beautiful and smart. What a combination.
Wow...I had to lower the speed, but I understood what she said :) I'm happy I'm improving my listening skills.
I use to hear people refer to her as Americas Sweetheart back in the 90's a lot and I'd correct them, "Nope, Americas favorite German Sweetheart."
Das stimmt. She was in Nürnberg (Nuernberg) and moved to USA when she was 12 years old. :-)
Man hört sogar noch etwas fränkisch raus.
Genau! Ganz fränkisch.
und bissl österreichisch...wenn sie länger spricht :-)
Oh ja!! DAS WÄR WAS!! It would be soooo awesome. Very good idea
I had no idea!
V cool.
Friends used to tell me I looked like Sandy when I was younger.

Be nice to each other people!!!!!
It's unbelivable! I think I never ever heard an american speaking german that good. I love her. Gorgeous woman.
That well
For those who are wondering, she said she missed her family, she loves them and she wished them goodnight. So I have no idea how people come up with things like Hitler, please get over it.
I didn’t expect perfect Deutsch. Awesome.
Ich liebe dich
ich liebe diese frau !! :D
Omg, did not know that
We all have done mistakes in the past. Amerika, france, germany, england.. We all. So stop it please. And i think she speaks german very well :3
Ach Mensch! Cute!
@kara368 Thanks for the additional info! I wasn't sure about the details of her language background. I just knew that she learned both German and English young enough so that there is no way she can forget them. I have a similar background. I didn't start speaking English until I was almost 11. I identify both my first language and English as my native languages. Meanwhile, I don't remember any Spanish I learned in high school and college....much to my dismay.
Jajaja,muy tranqui!
well, good for her =)
I've just started an on line German, she can teach me anytime
:-O ???!!!
omg, wie geil ist das denn??!!
Very native, but her mother was German so it's not surprising. She moved to the States when she was 12, I believe.
@kittyandjemilover I suppose she has English and German as her native languages. Her mother was German and she lived in Germany for a while.
ihr deutsch ist echt gut!
ach, ich mag sandra!! sehr nette frau^^
Wow didn't know she was German, so cool
"Och mensch............

She's just a sweety !
Woah her German is so good wow
Krass, wie gut sie spricht. Hab das nicht erwartet :D
That’s why I Jesse James married her married her
The softest German I've ever heard. Actually sounds peaceful
Americans when a whole language doesn't actually sound like an aggressive austrian screaming: 😮😮😮😮
Wow... :D
POV: You didn't search this and you still watch it because you didn't know she was German
She is only half German.
Ich bin ein Hollander. Ich verstehe das gut. Sehr schon wie Sie deutch sprecht. Gruss Got miteinander. ( ;
I am Dutch. I understand it perfectly well. She speaks beautifull German. Best regards.
One of the most harsh languages in the world.
OMG! The german language - not scary, not aggressive! How is that possible? Dear americans - give me an explanation!
BeckyWuff Not just Americans, the British see it as scary and ugly too.
Americans who hear either A) Hitler (who wasn't German) or B) other Americans mispronounce German are left with the impression that "German is ugly." (BTW - despite my username, I'm born and raised in the US).
the Continental Congress when deciding what language to conduct business in ... English won with a single vote more than German. Not as much "not American" as you might think.
@@dirtymike3329 - No, it's not. At least when it's being spoken correctly.
@@konradheumann8342 Unlike most languages German has lots of double consonants, which makes the language sound more harsh to people who aren't used to it. Same with other languages like Russian or Arabic.
And sounds that are similar to an animal hissing, like the hard "ch" and maybe "r" definitely make the language sound more aggressive, especially to people who don't use those sounds in their language.
@katyperryroxs43 Some of the words are very similar to English! But the grammar can be difficult. My cousin says, "There are some things about German you don't learn until you're 12!" And she grew up in Germany! I think the greatest thing I ever heard was that there are only 3 different types of sentences in German. :D
@Siehna Her mother was German though, and she has family in German and spent a lot of time there in her childhood, so it's really not that surprising...
cool
