Nicolas Hernandez Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. If you trust and never doubt...he will surely bring you out. Take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. Now, if you're useful days are gone and old age in stealing on And your body sinks beneath the weight of care Jesus will never leave you then, He'll go with you to the end Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there
I remember as a little girl my Aunt was a member of this church in Brooklyn, NY. She took me to the Tent meetibng and I never forget hearing Madam Washington singing echoing all off the buildings.
Pray for souls to be saved and allow God to send forth labors into His vineyard. Our founding fathers fasted, prayed, lived holy, witness, and most of all, they remained obedient to the will of God.
The late Bishop F.D. Washington was the step-son of the late Bishop W.Q. Washington. They were were originally from Dermott, Arkansas, and is the same town were Bishop C. H. Mason first met Mother Lizzie Woods-Robinson who would the first National General Supervisor of Women's work ( Department). The is only one Church of God in Christ in Dermott Arkansas to this very day and it is named Washington Memorial Church of God in Christ, I myself graduated Senior High school there in Dermott, and I remember when they cleared the land lot off to build the church, located right literally across the railroad tracks where my Mothers house was located at the time. My Mother and Sisters attended and became full members at the newly built church back then. It was at first located on a interstate highway then moved to the location it is now in Dermott, Arkansas. My Uncle and myself also frequently attended the church which was at that time Pastored by the late Elder. Alton Thomas and it was apart of the Arkansas Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction where the Jurisdictional Prelate was at that time Bishop D.L. Lindsey Sr. and the late Mother Bernice Lambert was the Jurisdictional Supervisor at the time.
This is so just what I needed from the Lord. It's not sorrowful for Bishop F. D. Whashington lived what he preached, but to look and see my Pastor, Bishop German R. Ross, Lawd help me today. Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and Twinkie worked the NY State Choir for this Homegoing Service. Twinkie, this is COGIC's song "Yes, Lord"and you're anointed to sing this version God has given you. Than God for thisw upload!
WElouise Valere Wow you are from Good Samaritan Cathedral in Oakland? Part of my family grew up there before the cathedral was built. I attended there after Bishop Ross transitioned under bishop Murray.
Twinke performed this Azusa with Winan Brothers background. Just like now she song the holy spirit and moved hearts and soul. What a Homegoing Homecoming Service. Listen all music and I said if they sing Amazing Grace It would be my perfect program. Amazing Grace come upon us. Beautiful!!!
Four to close and seal a casket. Can imagine what that cost inflation not adjusted. Love the homegoing songs and Seeing Dr Clark, Until we all meet again. RIP
What happened to Bishop Washington's casket? It looked like the top either came off or was knocked off. Little as it may be known, Bishop and Madam Washington once lived in Iowa (so did Bishop Ford) where they pastored the first COGIC in my state. That church was founded by my Great Grandparents, Elder Richard Bogie and his wife, Mother Effie Bogie.Even though that was before I was born, by the time I came along both Bishop's had become legends here. Back when Bishop Washington had his radio broadcast we listened to him every Sunday night as it was also broadcasted here in Iowa. During his sermons, so often he would mention "Mom & Dad Bogie" in his prayer. Whenever he came to town, my sister's and I would have to give up our bedroom for he would always stay with us in our home. Even as a child I knew that Bishop Washington was truly a Man of God and I'll always cherish those memories.
Wow wow wow wow. Dr. Clark had just been here in California two months prior as she did every year along with Twinkie. These were definately high times that I cherish.
This seems to be a 4 minute and 15 second video clip that was edited and added from another service that I'm very, very, interested in because I know this is my Pastor from years ago...the background is dark, but I know her voice and her anointed way of ministering!
They could have had a little talk with JESUS before they died. So never condemn any one to hell. Thank GOD for JESUS that thief on the cross got down to the end and had enough time to have a little talk with JESUS told HIM all about his troubles. And GReat GOD from Zion put him paradise that very day with JESUS. Amen.
Shaun Calhoun Bishop and Madame Washington raised 2 children the Late Fredericka Washington Napper and Ernest Washington. Their hearts loved so many more!
aww man I couldn't imagine that ,who were the family members that were ivercome with grief at Bishop Washington's casket? my heart broke when I saw that
I believe Elder Hank Reed is from Buffalo N.Y. I haven't been to a national meeting since 2004 so I haven't seen him. I hope he is still with us singing and preaching.
This is a joke I want to say: is bishop FD Washington, is related to Denzel Washington, because they're from the church of God in christ, and their have the same last name. God bless the good ole days of cogic

Is that Willie Ross sitting next to Twinkie?
If so, he was one of the greatest influences to me as a musician. I loved that man.
They don't sing like this in church anynmore
I was filming in one of the boxes. I believe the subject was "Lazarus Is Dead".. Too bad the rest of the message is not here.
This seems to be a 4 minute and 15 second video clip that was edited and added from another service that I'm very, very, interested in because I know this is my Pastor from years ago...the background is dark, but I know her voice and her anointed way of ministering!
That's the first time I've ever seen anyone cry like that at a sanctified funeral. Most of been a daughter
I used to think the same, but there some Holiness families who're very emotional. I've actually seen worse!

I was at Washington Temple August 1985

And GReat GOD from Zion put him paradise that very day with JESUS. Amen.
No one has the entire eulogy?
Come Let Us Crown Late G E Patterson and Rest to Follow GE Patterson.
That preacher sung that song.. he meant that before he prayed
That preacher was confronted about all the boys he was sleeping with (openly to many). He later died of AIDS I believe.
How many children did Bishop FD Washington and Madame Ernestine Thomas have together What where their names.
Shaun Calhoun Bishop and Madame Washington raised 2 children the Late Fredericka Washington Napper and Ernest Washington. Their hearts loved so many more!
OH thanks for that I could of sworn somebody told they had more children but they obviously didn't know what they where talking about.
18:04, which is that song? could you write the lyrics? thanks a lot!

Does anyone know who the lady in the white dress is at the beginning of this video? This is a very familiar person to me!

I believe Elder Hank Reed is from Buffalo N.Y. I haven't been to a national meeting since 2004 so I haven't seen him. I hope he is still with us singing and preaching.
Oldmanriver77 he's still alive. He's in my jurisdiction.
That 3 seconds of Mother Rubenstein McClure at 45:00 was not enough. Now I have to hunt down this whole service.
Thank you for providing me with that information. I was wondering who that beautiful voice belonged to. ❤
Did he die suddenly? Because The Presiding Prelate seems surprised from his passing.
They messed up that sealing of the bier.
I heard him say look on this wife and family bishop Washington got remarried after mother Washington passed I didn't know that
Yes Bishop Washington was remarried after his first wife past.
Was this the last time funeral directors were in charge of casket closing for a deceased bishop? Bc that was pretty sloppy 😦
This closing was more authentic
That my grandfather
