I'm not exactly a Suzuki fan even though ive owned several of them yet i must admit this unit is mint . It harkens to my childhood . I believe it will only increase in value . If you have room to keep it you might be glad you did .
Thanks for taking us for a ride on it . She's a beauty ❤

Oh man..... I'm sorry to hear that! Those RD400s and 350s are some really fun / fast bikes. I had an RD350 and 200. Both were good runners!

Ever since I went boating as a kid here in Illinois, the first time I smelled an Evinrude outboard fire up with the blue smoke across the lake water - I was hooked! You're probably not going to make a ton of money selling her and it's likely you won't find another one as nice as this one (for what you paid). This bike fits you nicely - yes it's drum brakes, but it doesn't take up much room and for tooling around town you'll be hard pressed to get bigger smiles per mile than a two-stroke twin. Ok, my wife is asking me to cool it with my ongoing persuasion. I better listen to her. Have a nice holiday weekend and thank you for your service!!

I learned how to work on these crazy old Japanese bikes long ago I feel your pain and and if circumstances permitted, I would steer you from some headaches that I endured 😰

I doubt very much that it is a fuel pump on the tap.
Why would it be ? Even when tank is nearly completely dry gravity will fill the carbs that are at least 6" below .
What it is , is an early vacuum operated tap.
It should have 3 positions.... Prime, On and Reserve.
Prime is used to fill carbs if engine is not running and bowls are empty.
Once filled turn tap to On or Reserve depending on fuel level in tank.
Once started the induction vacuum opens the tap and once engine stops closes it.
No fuel should flow from tap if engine is stopped unless in the Prime position.
