Jenn please do a video on what you would include in a capsule wardrobe? With staple pieces that will last for a long time and can be used for more than one season? Also, what current trendy pieces do you think will last for a long time? I'm planning on revamping my wardrobe soon and donate pieces that I havent worn for a long time and keep the ones that will last me for ages. And I hope you make a video for me to draw inspiration from! My style is pretty much all over the place making it difficult to channel my wardrobe to 36 pieces but I feel like I have to as my money mostly goes on clothes and creating a capsule wardrobe can help me be more strict when buying clothess.. I'm sooooo happy you & Ben touched on the elephant sanctuaries. I went to one in Chiang Mai last year and one in Phuket a couple weeks ago during my trip back. It's really heartbreaking to see their conditions just because some tourists want to ride elephants for pictures/fun. I'm so glad you guys used your platform to advocate for something like this! I've always looked up to you so thank you for spreading awareness!
Jenn & Ben, thank you for addressing the issue of elephant abuse (for the sake of tourism and money), and for showing your viewers an alternative to see them in a better habitat :) Your trip looked crazy fun, and I hope to go to Phuket in the future too!
Ahh, 10 minutes ago, I was still feeling frantic and overwhelmed with a pile of notes and textbooks, trying to calm down before my finals tomorrow. Then I saw this video and as soon as the blue oceans and delicious food appeared I felt instantly calmer :) Thank you for helping me de-stress and forget about my worries for even just a short while Jenn! Thailand is also actually one of the places in the world I would like to travel to and explore the most, and watching this vlog has made me want to visit the country even more!!

I'm so glad you went to the sanctuary on Phuket! Thank you for bringing up the cruelty in the elepghant riding industry in Thailand! I went to Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan & Koa Tao last year and he sanctuary on Phuket was the nicest place to go see the elephants. We paid for an island tour in Koh Phangan and requested to do everything other than the elephant riding/elephant show place BUT they still dropped us off there in the morning expecting us to change our minds! We just stood around but could see the elephant show happening and it was so sad to see. Me and one of my friends burst into tears, we all had to walk away it was so sad. They were training the elephants with spikes on sticks all around us and they were all chained up. I can't believe how many smiling tourists were walking in and paying to ride the elephants after seeing that.
The sanctuary on Phuket was lovely though, to feed and wash the retired elephants must have been so adorable! I'm so glad you brought this up in your video, people need to be more aware of what goes on in Thailand and what to avoid giving money to!

Love how you mention how most elephants are treated badly, when I was in Nepal I saw how a young elephant was "trained" to get used to people touching her, and it was so, so, so heartbreaking. So glad you aware people of those things! â€

Iâm happy to see you went over to Koh Khai Nai instead. That restaurant is so lovely and the owners are so welcoming. We visit multiple times throughout the year and itâs normally just our little group of 5 or 6 there with the whole island/restaurant to ourselves (we live to go in low season so less tourists). Phuket is truly wonderful, i wish you would have had the time to explore and experience the south of the island abit more as thatâs where the real life of the island is :) hope you come back one day!!

thanks for bringing attention to the elephants. when i went to malaysia, i was the only 1 in my group who didn't want to pay money to see animals do "tricks" or to ride the elephants because i knew they were being used for labor and weren't living a good life. luckily, i convinced my group to skip that activity. elephants are amazing animals

If you have chance to come back to Thailand again, I do recommend Ismilan island. I think it's the most beautiful in Thailand. I love it so much. For about the elephants, I have no idea about it. In fact, it also has both benefit and disbenefit to those elephants in elephant sanctuary.

Thank you so much for speaking up for the elephants! Unfortunately, many animals (elephants, orcas, dolphins, tigers, etc.) are abused and terrorized for tourist attractions. I'm very grateful that you and Ben care for wildlife.
