Interesting fact: in Strasbourg there was the statue of Vater Rhein installed in 1902 in front of the Municipal Theater, but it caused a scandal by its nudity and its fleshy forms. After WW1, in 1929, the City of Strasbourg exchanged with that of Munich the Vater Rhein for the statue of the Meiselocker, the young charmer of tits, who imitates the song of birds with a flute and carries a cage where he locks them. Hello again Dr. Ludwig. This comment is off-topic, but I'd like to post it for those who are interested, because I forgot to do it on the occasion of Halloween: it's about Frankenstein Castle in Germany, in Mülhtal in Hesse (which we also talked about last week). I think everyone has heard of this famous castle. Frankenstein Castle is famous for the fact that Mary Shelley wrote the novel Frankenstein after visiting this castle in 1816. In fact, Mary Shelley learned that in the castle was born the alchemist Johann Conrad Dippel who tried to create an artificial human being a century rather. There are plenty of dark legends around Frankenstein Castle. The most interesting are the magnetic stones that cause electronic devices to stop working, the batteries to empty. This is due to the minerals found in the stones. This type of stones are made up of special minerals. We find this kind of stones elsewhere in Europe, in Alsace and also in the Carpathians. The bussoles no longer work well near these stones. And weird things happen, kind of X files. The castle is very visited during the Halloween Burg Festival which takes place in Darmstadt during the 3 weekends of October before Halloween. In Germany, in the Moselle valley there is a castle where we can play pranks on friends if we organize a Halloween party (but we have to make sure that the guests don't have heart problems). In France, Halloween parties are also organized annually in old mansions, with a Gothic atmosphere, where the guests dress as in the Victorian era. Das Federweißer-Fest findet so nicht mehr statt wie früher, aber es waren dann doch "zum Qatschen" etliche alte Gesichter da !! Bin dann am Sonntag nach München weitergefahren, habe dort auch Bekannte getroffen, und zwar im Tanz-Cafe "Maratonga". Müde vom vielen Tanzen war ich dann am Montag um 3 Uhr zu Hause.
