So helpful thank you! I made it through all the steps. My only question is, when I point the nameservers like you did - won't it draw my new domain to my old domain website? I'm hoping to have the websites as two totally separate sites. Thanks!
What's the point in buying the Baby plan when you have to purchase another domain name?. I thought you could have as many domains as you like at no extra charge.
Hey Greg, is there an update for this? It seems to be connecting the second domain to the first one. That's not what I was looking for. What you did is what I followed but the outcome is not the same. Any idea how I can fix this?
Hi, so awesome that you're doing this. I bought 3 domains, but I can only acces the first one. So I checked your video, but after WordPress, there is no domain to select at "select domain for installation". Do you know what I did wrong?
hi, i did everything you said but idk why the lock ssl on my webpage is no secure, do you know why my ssl lock is green in my first domain but red in my second one?
It’s Probly due to insecure content. As opposed to me fixing it for you, you can add really simple ssl and I believe they recommended a content fixer too which just amounts to you reuploading or deleting some images
So in the baby plan you still need to pay for an extra website? I maybe I was completely wrong, since they said unlimited domain's I thought it was the same
hi, i have a question, why you register your new domain as newdomainforthevideo.com and then change the name of the servers name in narayguy.com? isnt suppose to be for newdomainforthevideo.com?
@@narayguy Couldn't understand so after installing wordpress i go back to Hostgator portal > Hosting and I still have 1 domain The second one is not there.
Yea so I am decent at following directions to do something, but here they have changed quite a bit. I added the nameservers as in the video, but It does not appear under hosting, I bought the 2nd domain through hostgator. I am pretty sure I installed Wordpress, but can't access the site, says insecure ect.
HostGator has a separate domains area it’s kinda confusing. You can also change your nameserver settings in cPanel i believe. Sorry on behalf of them for the layout changes, I yelled at them for like 5 Emails lol. How’s it going now?
@@narayguy I figured it out, I had to go in and copy my current security certificate to my new domain and it works fine now. Thanks for the reply. I hope you are finding success.
@@wordstobeheard2061 You have to login to your Host Gator and then Get into C-Panel through that and then you can find your SSL Certificate then I was able to copy or apply it to the "sub" domain.
@@wordstobeheard2061 Sorry I can't be more specific it was awhile ago when I figured it out and I don't want to mess anything up since its working fine now.
Hey man ik this video is kinda old not sure if I'll get a response but i purchased a domain on Namecheap and went to host gator to register it and it says this domain is unavailable. Theres no button to say I already own this domain. Help please 🙏 lol
Hey man yeah you always will get a response with me! If you already have a HostGator plan, login to cpanel and setup this namecheap domain as an add on domain. Then point it’d nameservers to HostGator. Is that what you’re looking at doing or nah?

Aw I'm so glad this video still works. Sounds like you are makin quite the HostGator website empire. Keep up the good work!

Of course come back often!
quick install doesnt show up underneath software in control center anymore
They moved to softaculous. Which is faster and has more features 👍 Sorry it looks different! 😕
Greg Narayan, that's a nice name, and thank you for the video. =)
My pleasure! :)

Hi happy to help! You need to add the domains as addon domains. Where did you buy them?
@@narayguy Thx! At Hostgator
Nice! Lmk any other issues that arise 👍
For add on domains will i have separate control panels
No same cpanel as long as you have baby plan you can run them all under one roof :)

quick question: why do we have to change the name servers of the 2nd website?
No just for the domain you’re adding on
@@narayguy yes! but i'm curious as to why it's necessary? :o
So in the baby plan you still need to pay for an extra website? I maybe I was completely wrong, since they said unlimited domain's I thought it was the same
I had that confusion today, it seems like you have to add the domains first, then you can add the folders or 'domain addons' so you won't get charged.
create an add-on domain threw me off as well
Yeah no reason it should be called that, makes it sound like you are buying a new domain or adding it onto another domain! But it is what it is 😝
hi, i have a question, why you register your new domain as newdomainforthevideo.com and then change the name of the servers name in narayguy.com? isnt suppose to be for newdomainforthevideo.com?
Yes correct I just used narayguy as an example here bc I don’t own the other domain name

Why it redirects me to wildcard hostgator ?
Maybe older version of cpanel hmm
why do you have to complicate it with wordpress
Because it’s our fav - the #1 content management system!
