OMG UPDATE!:
So here's the story, I was digging through the game's audio files using MFaudio (a tool to play/convert PS2 audio files; I own the PS2 version of the game) when I accidentally found a hidden OST (Original SoundTrack) copy of this song. There's absolutely no flame sound effect on the fade-in intro (the flames effect before the credits start rolling), and the fade-out is as long as it should be, without the instrumental intro loop, and without having to trim the fade-out because of that loop.

I'd say that this mindset is terrible 'cause there's a lot of creations you can keep alive if you preserve through and keep determined on following you goal of saving those, but it's actually sometimes a really good mindset. For example in terms of immortality - you don't avoid it because everything you love will die, you smile because you'll have all the time with them and won't see them sad of you passing.
So, yeah, sometimes that mindset is the true mindset you should follow, but in situations like this it always reminds me how a lot of HTTYD fans say "doN't CrY bEcAUsE iT ENdeD", and I can only say "Dude, they literally butchered the franchise as their final "Goodbye" (and it wasn't even final), why should I feel great!?" In retrospect, it isn't really related to Spyro or to you, but this copy-pasted line triggers me every time from the moment I watched that third film getting comments like this.

it just warms up my heart to know that they actually made this song for spyro and cynder. its just so sweet. they really actually love eachother. i mean, after all of what they went through: they fought together, they helped eachother, and they grieved with eachother. the man voice is spyro and the girl voice is cynder. think of what they sing to eachother. theyre so cute together. this couple inspires me.
BTW they weren't written on the book so that means they've escaped somehow ..I adore this trilogy ..these games ...I would spend a whole day trying to complete them because as soon as I started playing I wanted to play more and more ..I have so many memories...They made my childhood years amazing....:''( still praying that they'll make another game :(

I LOVE THIS SONG! Whenever I hear it, I get a tingling sensation all through my body because of the power and passion of the lyrics!
I missed those 3 games, but I am a big Spyro fan and recently catched up and played all 3 LoS games on a Steam Deck (btw perfect device for PS1,2,3 emulation). What hited me the most is how dark and sad those 3 games can be (while the main protagonist is a cartoony looking dragon). I can imagine that many kids who played those games cried. I hope that they will make a soft sequel. While 3 games aged badly (so a re-master is unlikely to happen), the 3rd game surprised me as mechanic wise it is does feel very innovative, even for today's standards. I can imagine that permanent flying mechanics, environmental & elemental puzzles and 2 characters that you can switch between (or have a drop-in cc-op) would work wonderful in an open world modern video game (Take Zelda Breath of the wild, Elden Ring and LoS: DotD and mix it up).

DOTD played a long time ago, but now I look at this game differently, knowing how hard to do so and I will be touching the game again and again I'll put the disc into the x-box and passed one more time. This game is so great and moving that words hard to describe

Man I remember playing this series when I was little. I cried at the end of TLoD: DotD cuz I actually thought they both died but Cynder's 'I love you' to Spyro just got me in the heart. I will always love the Spyro series forever and ever. He deserves a movie for being the most awsome series ever.

Though it gives me all the feels to hear the song again it's the theme that gives me the chills. Remembering avalar valley and the last scene of spyro and cynder and remembering how peaceful it seemed just makes my heart yearn for some place like it. Got the same feeling from Haven Forest in Jak 2 but Spyro came 1st for me.

This series inspired me to write and this song kept me from quitting my story. Love this!
After finishing the first two games in this series, I had high hopes for this game.
What came in the form of Dawn of the Dragon was nothing short of amazing, and the ending was... powerful. It drew out emotions that you really don't expect from platforming games.
Watching the credits roll by and hearing this song play, then that final scene with Spyro and Cynder swooping over a field... it really hits you hard.

Listen to this song everyday, and think about the ending of TLoD: DotD. You get to understand everything in a new perspective, and seeing Spyro and Cynder the way the game creators made it was utterly astounding. The best line from any game, "I love you." I was pretty much in tears, even though it's a game, but I easily get into the characters perspective and it really, truly is incredible.
I remember how my brother and me would listen to this song after defeating Malefor. We really use to enjoy it! This brings back the good ole days! I miss my old family. There were loads of good memories back then, and this is one of them.

OK, all I can say is, that the Cast in all 3 of the TLOS Trilogy is just AMAZING! But the only ones who stayed throughout the WHOLE trilogy was: Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, Kevin Michael Richardson, Corey Burton and Jeff Bennett. But still, David Spade, Cree Summer, Mark Hamill, Christina Ricci, Wayne Brady, Billy West,Mae Whitman, Fred Tatiscore, Blair Underwood and... I seriously can't name them all but they are all awesome choices for this trilogy! What a way 2 celebrate 10 years of Spyro!

It shows the strong bond between Syro and Cynder.
Also the bond between Spyro and Ignitus, because the line "I would die for you, cross the sky for you" really fits with Ignitus' sacrifice to save Spyro and Cynder :)
This song brought me to sadness and tears. I hope they should reconsider to make a fourth legend of Spyro game to see if Spyro will be reunited with Ignitus.

Me too. The newest games for Crash and Spyro weren't fully developed so that's why they're taking an extra year to perfect the next games for each series. I hope it turns out well. I agree. I grew up with each franchise and they grew up with me. Getting better (IMO) and more complex as i was growing and maturing too. I love all Crash games (except Nitro Kart and Boom Bang) and even though i lost my taste for the old Spyro, the new ones, being more mature, keep me in the fanbase. (continues).
@Nonamearisto More specifically, Spyro is only one of 30 characters one can choose to play as. It is obvious that Skylanders was a game in its own right, and that Spyro was only grafted onto it in order to boost sales.

Albeit, if they had stuck with what Toys for Bob were originally going to do with Skylanders, which was make it an uber bloody game, it's scales would have skyrocketed, but most would probably not like Spyro NEAR as much, because it would have destroyed their childhood memories of Spyro.

@robotimmer92 "Skylanders" is a game which only features Spyro as one of many characters, is set in its own continuity, and while not a bad idea in itself, does not deserve to be called a Spyro game.
@prancingfox I've had the same feeling with a few games like that. This and the Crash Bandicoot game Crash Mind Over Mutant gave that kind of feeling. Though Mind Over Mutant gave me that feeling for being so short. But this one gave me a stronger feeling of "No! It can't be over yet!"
@prancingfox I know exactly how you feel. When I first finished the game and I thought he died and this song started, i was crying like mad and this song made me cry even more. But I waited until the end because I didn't want it to be over and it wasn't! So it was all good :D
I don't know. It sounds like a good idea but i also like the way it is in DOTD; Level based in which you can replay an area without having to find the portal (because there is no portal, there is a Chapter based system where you choose which level you want to enter from a screen).
When I beat this game a few years since it came out while having 100/100 on it...I had mixed emotions. Like, I was speechless. I couldn't believ the touching ending it gave. I just sat there, staring at the credits(not with anger) with mixed emotions. Despite there being an epilouge at the end of the credits, Spyro will always be remembered to the people that grew up with the series. So far, he's (Spyro) 15 year old or something like that.

Song made me cry if you constantly kept on thinking about that this was the last of the trilogy. With its amazing strings and modern rock with a Fantasy and Sadness mixed into it and to top it off with amazing lyrics and voice. Ahhh Whyyy must you end my dear Spyro and Cynder? D';

So, that's why the newer Spyro games have something missing! Enter The Dragonfly was supposed to have 25 levels and Hero's Tail was supposed to have a shark (the trailer showed it).
I like Crash Nitro Kart but the CNK token challenges are too difficult as the race karts aren't so nimble. I hope that the next Crash game will appear on the PS3 so I'll follow him into next-gen.

I have only played Season of Flame but from what i've seen, Attack of The Rhynocs looks pretty good, so that and Season of Flame are worth it. Season of Ice looks kind of medicore.
Thanks. At least in Jak 2, there was a way to skip most of the missions by using the Early Mar's Tomb glitch. I've done that when I couldn't destroy the ship in Hero Mode.
Spyro, I will always love you no matter what. Same with Crash Bandicoot. I really, really hope that new Crash and Spyro games will be made in 2010.

Since Eternal Night sounds easier than Jak 2, I'm sure I will overcome the game. But in the first TLOS game, the combat system was not as smooth as I would have hoped. It just felt a bit blocky at places. Dawn of The Dragon seems to have fixed this problem.

My favorite ending is also in dawn of the dragon. And I am kind of mellodramatic so I kinda got choked up when Cynder said "I love you" to Spyro. And this song at the end just clouded my vision with tears

What are your most favourite Spyro and Crash games so far? Mine are Spyro 2 and Crash Team Racing even though IMO both old and new Spyro & Crash games are awesome because I have variety in what I want to play. If I feel nostalgic, I play the PS1 games and if I want something more serious, I play the PS2 ones (the only PS2 Crash game I have is CNK, I want to get them all).

@VampiricDemonicLove I can't say for sure, different consoles use different audio formats for different games. You can rip the videos, though, since they all use the Bink video format.

I agree 100%. I hear a lot of Spyro fans complain about the new direction they took with this trilogy but I thought it was outstanding. Sure it's not the same g-rated spyro of the old days but I think that is a good thing. As the fans have grown and matured (hopefully) so has the character and the tone of the games.

Gosh Darn It, when I heard this song after beating the game, I felt like there was suddenly a empty hole in my heart, and I went to bed afterwards thinking, "What the hell? Now what? It can't be over, it just can't!"
