I use a tiger on my amp too. Recently I found if you have the tiger and bulk it up with two kittens you get a more punchy low end and really drive the tubes. So stack those felines.
if you're asking about the name, that's because SGs were supposed to replace les pauls, so they were originally called les pauls. during that period, les pauls were discontinued. however les paul himself didn't like the new models, so he requested his name be taken off them. just a little bit of history.
if you're asking about the whammy bar... it's a whammy bar.

Just to point out something, he said Stevie Ray and Jimi both used thick strings, not true; Stevie did, he'd use 12s, 13s, etc; but Jimi used 8s.

@Metallimeister Um not really, they are time tested designs. I guarantee Fender and Gibson sell more of their 40+ year old designs than all of the new designs combined. Nothing wrong with wanting a guitar with a proven heritage, nothing wrong with paving the way on a new design either.

They didn't get all the way into CBS until late '66, making the transition, using what was left in stock parts after the sale in 1965. I used to be an authorized Fender Dealer/Repairman.

I hate to be the 'who are these people' guy but it amazes me how many bands I am unaware of have amazing gear - the guitarist gets pickups sent to him from Fishman? And for the guy who thinks those guitars are 'shitty' thats got to be fifteen grand's worth (at least) of shitty axes which I personally would love to have..

Songwriting is absolutely the defining characteristic of a good artist. Not to say that it has to be a hit amongst the midwest masses, but it has to be a classic song. She's written none of those. As far as soul, she is underground. She is going to stay underground. And underground musicians are the most soulful and passionate of them all. She's "headed" nowhere. And in one, two, or five years, you'll know I was right.
