@@lagartx3 Very true, and btw nice taste in stand up. But Ferguson was really unique because of how other hosts would pander to their audiences. I mean, just look at Fallon and Colbert. At least Kimmel is okay with seeming like a dick now and then.
and now: the one and only, the comedy genius legend... Craig Ferguson, everyone... Craig Ferguson... (people who know real comedy when they see it standing ovation for at least 15 minutes)
Cracks me up that Craig's lighting as the host on the show had worse lighting than Michael when they showed him. Nothing like working where they’ll light your producer when you mess with him but you had poor lighting and even had to use flashlights a bit.
If Geoff had been involved, you wouldn't have had this great segment. Craig's greatness, IMO, was his ability to riff like this by himself. The dynamic with Geoff was totally different, and I think it stopped a lot this creativity from happening.
_(adj.) Characterized by caprice; apt to change opinions suddenly, or to deviate from one's purpose; unsteady; changeable; fickle; subject to change or irregularity: as, a man of a capricious temper._
re: audience cued...wrong talk show. Criag's show is too unscripted to know when to cue anything. Pay attention and you'll notice the cameras are never sure where Craig is going next.
Since the show is not as scripted as many others,of course the laughs and applauses are not "cued" in the sense of them being planned long before. That doesn't mean you can't cue someone spontaneously. If Craig makes a joke and Chunky tells them to (or makes them) laugh, even if neither him nor the audience knew about the joke beforehand, then the laugh is cued. Also, him being in the back of the room is 1) not what other people told me 2) not relevant, because they don't need to see him, really.
Chunky B's job is to 1) loosen them up, and 2) encourage volumne. He can't anticipate what Craig will do...Craig can't anticipate what Craig will do--his mind is just tooooo quick (Look for the 'assing" video). Try thinking of it this way...the warmup comedian is like a man turning on a radio. He turns it on and controls the volumne but not the music being played. When you see Chunky, he is in the back of the room...not really conducive to 'cueing'. Sorry the unique frightens you.
Oh my god, would you people seriously grow the fuck up and stop bringing up politics on videos THAT HAVE NO POLITICAL TIE INS!? NO ONE CARES IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM, WE'RE HERE FOR COMEDY
2008 so yeah. His earlier monologues were awesome without Geoff as well though. Geoff was just there to add to the chaos and when Josh Robert Thompson started voicing him in 2011 the pandemonium was completed. 😉
Oh no, there's actually a warmup comedian who animates the audience to laugh when they're supposed to. The laughs are definitely cued, just not with the usual "laugh" "applaude" signs, but an actual person.
1) Did you even read what you wrote? The definition of "cued" means non-spontaneous and the definition of "spontaneous" means un-cued. Dah. 2) Show me even ONE clip where you see Chunky "cue" the audience. 3) Craig has been a stand-up comedian for years, those audiences aren't "cued" either, he doesn't need to "cue". 4) If you HAVE TO believe Craig's audience needs to be cued, then you're not ready for Craig. Go back to your scripted talk shows, you'll be more comfortable there.
Witch Doctor Snow Most of it actually is genuine. And often times Craig acknowledges the fact that there is a warm up comedian and tells him to stop clapping
Craig is the only person in history who can rip his own audience to shreds and still have them cheering on him.
and don rickles
Now you have to add Andrew Schultz to that list, dude dedicates himself to roasting his audience to a crisp
@@lagartx3 Very true, and btw nice taste in stand up. But Ferguson was really unique because of how other hosts would pander to their audiences. I mean, just look at Fallon and Colbert. At least Kimmel is okay with seeming like a dick now and then.
Because they know he's joking.
There's so many these days who think it's offensive to joke, for God's sake🙄
I always love it when Craig gets Michael Naidus involved in the show
Spelling Bee Judge: "Ok, Craig, please spell capricious."
Craig: C-A-PRICIOUS
"don't do that" *waves arms like Michael* "don't say OOH LALA"
capricious= erratic, unstable, unpredictable
Thanks
I was hoping someone would post definition
Omg when the ad break came, I prayed Craig and Michael were going to swap 😂 brilliant
Damn, I am sitting in the public library watching this and trying to not drive up my blood pressure from suppressing laughter.
Funniest show in the history of television!
d law this is so trueeee

Did Craig get a standing ovation for throwing a tantrum!? Unbelievable!

Thanks for the expansion of my vocabulary, Mr. Ferguson!
ALL I HAVE TO DO IS LOOK AT HIM AND I LAUGH....
BLESS HIM FOR GIVING US SO MUCH LAUGHTER.....😂😂❤😇🙏🤗🙏🙏🌍🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰
I loved this show.
Michael missed his ONE FUCKING CHANCE to stand up there and say, "you're a racist!"
Fail
In his defence, that running gag appeared much later in the show's run.
Best late night show of all time and I've seen 90% of them
(Cambridge Dictionary)
capricious: changing mood or behaviour suddenly and unexpectedly.
feu That’s not funny...
wait wtf. That was the Zoids Chaotic Century theme playing as they came back to Michael standing there.
This is so funny! He's genius!
I haven't seen this before.. Awesome! Thanks for the upload :))

It means "too busy living life to look up five dollar words"

"capriciousadjective. › likely to change, or reacting to a sudden desire or new idea: We have had very capricious weather lately."
hahahaha....C..... A......pricious
think about how great this would have been with geoff on craigs side:D

Thanks so much mate :)
For those of you to lazy to look it up. Capricious: subject to, led by, or indicative of a sudden, odd notion or unpredictable change; erratic:
@polarnipooh Thanks very much! I love digging up older clips :)
I need a .gif of 1:40 "pick a side!"
Capricious; your star sign if you were born between January 16th and February 16th.
Marty theMartian that’s Copernicus
Micheal on camera never saw that one, bet he had the time of his life.

Who else called to cops?

Capricious - Given to sudden and unaccountable changes of mood or behavior !
I always wondered why the lighting was so bad ?
As you wish my lord *looks it up*
I thought my English is quite good but I really needed to look up this word!
Poor Michael!!
Λαυρέντιος Ψαροκάηκας. Michael was an utterly good sport😉👌🏽👏🏽

What did craig say behind the censor?
Lmao the stuff they cheer for xD. Did CBS provide free beer or something?
Mike is cool 😎

Captain Capricious currently resides in the West Wing.

awesome.
Oh how I wishhhhh...........
That Geoff Peterson had been here‼️This was before he arrived, right?
2008 so yeah.
His earlier monologues were awesome without Geoff as well though. Geoff was just there to add to the chaos and when Josh Robert Thompson started voicing him in 2011 the pandemonium was completed. 😉
Snaakie Yeah, true‼️👏👏👍
It's a Scottish slang, man.
LOL

Capricious=dangerous
No.
I know why he left,
Everyday those fake laughs..
Must be Terrible
you do the best as that old grandpa can do,
And all you hear is fake after fake after fake laughter
Too bad the audience is cued into applauding....
Would be better if it was genuine.
Witch Doctor Snow Most of it actually is genuine. And often times Craig acknowledges the fact that there is a warm up comedian and tells him to stop clapping
@@JNDlego57 it's true. Craig really is just a great dude.
