It's damn impressive that a skate part is the first place I've seen film capture how Mingus' music makes you feel.
Skate parts have always been art, but this here is something else.
It probably helps that Mingus is the soundtrack...
One of the most unique skate parts ever. The combination between the music, cinematography, and skate boarding is something really unique and that you don't see often. I hope we get more parts like this.
Normalize jazz in skating
Yeah it goes well
Skating is being different. Outsider. Other. Jazz will always be that.
watch Stereo Skateboards "a visual sound"
Gonz did that long ago

In skateboarding and jazz improvisation is the essence.
Absolute stunning part, all the skating, music and videography just blends so well.
It's so damn refreshing to see something that harkens back to the earlier years of skateboard videos, when they were full of skits & stories and had succesfully blended skateboarding and art into a seamless medium. Reminds me a bit of Spike Jonze's earlier works. More please!
this is so amazing. was just listening to this the other day. Beautiful that other people still appreciate it
Jazz, Skating, SF can't ever go wrong.
It’s Melbourne
Skating and films are like pieces of art, and this "skate film" shows that very well.
This is straight up art.
Still one of my favorite skate videos ever. The videography is honestly so inspiring. The skating is good, but the filming and editing is beautiful.
Fantastic vid, just what I needed tonight.
this thing is euphoric
I have a director that was the bass player in Mingus's big band!
This is gnarly, moanin’ is another great Charles Mingus song
Good to see skaters can still be experimental with videos, lots of videos seem super formulaic these days. Editing was dope clips really matched the energy of the different parts of the song.
Much love from Switzerland
butter is one of the best out there right now, producing so much beautiful stuff for the world to see
Reminds me of old stereo vids.
God bless Charlie Mingus. Great vid.

amazing video, I am from mexico city and work, skate and listen to jazz every day I hope one day I will have the privilege of going to your cities and skating
If u listen to Jazz and you skate ur my friend :)
Wowowo this is amazing! Atmosphere like in Downtown 81!
so so gooood
This is why I love this skate shit. I always thought skating in the city is visually like free form jazz. Also the intro to this video was beautiful for combining a short film, commentary and jazz music. So rad to see these small brands pushing creativity in today's skateboarding and having a concept in their editing. 10/10. Definitely using this video as an example of what my perspective of skateboarding is.
Thats some Smoothjazz! 💜🦉
y'know, skateboarding is a lot like jazz - a soulful, skillful method of expression that's as fun to spectate as it is to perform. they're also similarly plagued with elitism and gatekeeping. remember it's never wrong to do your own thing. (dig?)
jazz and skateboarding go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. Inseparable.
amazing
Man, this is just nice as hell.
The best skate video I have ever seen this is my favorite!!!
Jazz sounds so nice with skateboarding

Eh beautiful uniq
The goods
Cool
Excellent mashup! Mingus can work just as well as Mercyful Fate, when your skate is under your feet! You might consider doing Bukowski reading, while Mingus and his band play in the background? The Bukowsgus or Mingski Video?
should make it black and white too the skate parts that would be nice.. overall its still a good clip
👍👍👍👍👍👍
reading these comments makes me think im shallow because all i could think was "that intro was way too long for just some okay clips" lol xD
groovy
Fair bit of Australia in that clip. Represent!!!
