Thanks Ray! Yes, unfortunately, the long distance, but who knows? Maybe one day I'll get out to an instrument or guitar exhibition!

    Hi Victor,
I have a question for you but this is the only way I can reach you. I raised the action on my Epipone Studio guitar years ago for slide guitar. I want to bring it back to normal action. I have spark plug gapers that measure 16ths...Can you tell me the proper hight and at what fret to ajust? Do I use a Capo at fret one? You are a master tech and I know you know the answer. Thanks Victor!
    Ray From across the pond.😉👍🏻

Hi Ray! Well, I have an Epiphone LP Junior that I videoed a long time ago, in several parts at the beginning of my video series. You can see the complete setup there! Otherwise, I don't see the point of setting the guitar in one specific place, so I always check the guitar complexly, from beginning to end! What I am going to describe here for you! At Epi Studio
      First step: at the zero fret, I measure the distance between the string and the fingerboard. E1-B2 = 1.3-1.4 mm G3- D4 = 1.37-1.42mm A5-E6 = 1.42-1.5m
After that, I just check back if I press down with my finger at the third fret, the distance between the first fret and the string is E1=0.15mm and E6=0.25mm. If these values are good, then you can go on to adjust the Truss Rod!!! It happens as follows: At the first bund, put on a guitar capo. Press the index finger of your right hand on the last 22nd bun. With your left hand, you can easily measure the 8th fret, the gap must be 0.25-0.35mm!!! If the gap is greater than 0.25-0.35 mm, turn the imbiss key clockwise, to the right. If, on the other hand, the gap between the fur and string is less than 0.25-0.35 mm, then it is wound counter-clockwise, to the left. But only a quarter of a turn, then wait 10 minutes for the wood to move, then measure again! When ready, you can adjust the back bridge, which affects the height of the string compared to the fingerboard! Here's how: You take off the capo and lay the guitar down vertically. I always measure the distance in 2 places! At the octave, at the 12th fret, 1.58-2.38 mm under the E1 string and 2.38-3.17 mm under the E6 string is a good value. Or where the neck meets the body at the 17th fur under E1, 1.2mm under E6, 1.6mm is the ideal size.
So it's my style to check everything one by one. You can even adjust the octave and pickup height. If things don't go well, you can call Viktor Lieszkovszky in a Facebook message. I wish you success and good luck! ( I hope what I wrote was understandable. and sorry that I only gave it in metric size)
