If you take your pearls out of the box try to keep them inside a breathable material so they don't collect dust :) I believe jewelry boxes shouldn't be a problem as they're not sealed air-tight. Hope your pearls look beautiful for a long time :)

I never bought my pearls from big name brands like Mikimoto and Tiffany. I find the prices inflated and I could find similar quality ones at lesser prices from lesser-known but reputable sellers
I really enjoyed the video a lot and learned a lot more about pearls. In the photo you see me wearing my golden champagne south sea cultural pearls with matching stud earrings. I had know idea my gift was so expensive. I did notice some writing on the clasp one day so when i took a closer look it read 14k And then a symbol and 2 letters. I loved them before seeing your video ,but i love them even more. Thank you for the information.

I resently took a beautiful pearl necklace in for repair the silk strands were being cut by the 14K twisted links between the pearls the jeweler deceided to put a small thin wire on them now In am worried the gold links between the pearls are going to damage my pearls . Do I need to worry and have them restrung with silk or will leaving them like they are be ok? please tell me what to do.

Sorry a few necklaces' origin is unknown - i received the single strand as a gift and the triple strand preloved through ebay. The freshwater necklace i actually bought from Costco's jewelry section! I only saw it once and then not again for a while so i think they change the display quite a lot. Keep your options open! The right style will pop up eventually

Hi Milagros Rojas thank you for stopping by! I only own 1 pearl ring by Tiffany's but the pearls are freshwater (lowest grade) since it was primarily a costume jewelry piece. In general i haven't been that impressed with the quality of Tiffany's sterling silver - it seems to have degraded over the years, especially for stock purchased outside USA. Yet Tiffany's pricing remains premium. To me personally, it feels like the strength of their brand is primarily in their marketing/name, followed by their classic/iconic designs - quality is lower down the rung. If you're after costume jewelry, I'm sure Tiffany's freshwater pearls & their designs will do the job. If you're after premium pearls, perhaps it's best to look elsewhere?
Pearls can look daggy & granny like but I do agree they never go out of fashion.

“Mother of Pearl”. Already the interior of the shell, then that same material is deposited around the irritating material. Thank you, I never knew why the shiny part of the shell interior is called mother of pearl. It’s the mother because it exists as the origin of the material.
