Here are the end results of thousands of votes for the election of the 2018 Top 20 Best Cafe Racers.
Many wonderful custom motorcycles, did not reach the recognition they deserve on the Top 10 video.
And because of that, nothing would be more fair, than paying homage with a Top 20.
The election took place between 28/12/2018 and 15/01/2019.
There were 20 candidates on the election, which are the best Motorcycles presented on Racer TV during 2018.
In the end of this video, you can also check the Votation data.

In my mind, the top 10 is right where I saw them to be. 11-20 Some that were at the bottom were higher up in the column for my tastes. I loved this years top 10 and top 20 motorcycles. Thank you for taking time and doing this. You have my respect. Cheers my friend.

Beyond the voting and the characteristics of the election, for me the most important thing is the driver's smile on the CX 650 / CX 500 of Oficina das Motos, expresses that infinite feeling of joy, inner peace and complete achievement. Only those of us who have been on a motorcycle traveling and enjoying the road, understand what that smile means. Thanks for this video, indeed if 10 are good 20 are even better

When I wa really little, maybe four or five, my Dad got me my first bicycle, after that my parents often chased me down the street, cause I got away. Motorcycles = Freedom! It's gotta be hard to select your favorite. All the bikes you showcase are awesome, but my pick is the same as yours. I love that Honda!

An incredible prestigious group Victor !
And the viewer's choice of selecting your CX650 project, is simply an example of the proverbial,
"Cream rising to the top" !
For anyone to read anything more into it than that, is absolutely petty !
As the numbers show Victor, there are a number of designers, and their bikes that are all extremely close in the number of votes garnered !
As you have said, and which I very much agree with you,
they are all, extremely special for a number of different reasons !
However,
there is one thing, that they all have in common, and that is,
that there is not one among them, that any one of us wouldn't be honored to have in our own garages !

This is an excellent review of the top 20 and a detailed explanation of the analysis of the ranking. I enjoy hearing the sound of Frankenstein! Very nice build. I believe you won for at least 2 reasons, one the sound and the other if people knew it was your cafe racer, a nod of respect. The Auto Fabrica is undoubtedly the most stylish. Looking forward to 2019s best 20. Thank you as always for your fine work.

I forgot to mention, your Honda sounds similar to the Mustang in the movie Bullit with Steve McQueen.. The sound is the soul of the cafe racer.... @@RACER_TV

Nice bikes. Keep on building. Here are some of my thoughts and pointers. 1. It’s always better to start with a good foundation bike, unless you are planning to rebuild everything from scratch on the bike. 2. Always use spoke wheels on classic cafe racers, unless it's a modern wide tire bike. 3. Figure out what you like to build and how do you want it to look. This will save you money in the long run with replacing parts after the build is done. Photoshop always helps. 4. Try not to paint your frame any other color than black. Just doesn’t look good. 5. Always align tank and seat/cowl so that is proportional. Nice straight lines always look better. Use a cowl that goes with the tank. Round tank and squad cowl is not ideal. 6. I don't see any points converting to automatic transmission. Why take the fun out of riding. If that just get a scooter. 7. Choose your colors wisely so they match. Natural tones usually work better. 8. Mono shock looks good but take the nostalgia out of the word classic. 9. All black is out of style especially all flat black. This includes wheels and useless plasti dip. 10 Two cylinder sound better but too small of an engine and you will have hard time keeping up with traffic. 11. Any parts sticking out too far out of the bike is not ideal. For example: cylinder heads. That is why BMWs are not really my choice but that’s just me. Do your research first. Look at old footage of cafe racers that were back in the days and you will get the idea. Good luck with your builds and keep up the good work.

Top 20's or top whatevers are only popularity contests. Please don't worry about "fair", as "popular" very often has nothing to do with "best".

Your channel continually amazes me, and inspires me. It is one of the most well put together channels here! In the U.S. this style of motorcycle is a niche taste and is truly under appreciated. I own a cb900c(don't laugh)...and because of your thoughts, and videos I am going to do my best to make sure that my build is a correct representation of this style of motorcycle. I'm not sure about #1, just kidding, there are some fabulous little details that make a good build into an incredible build. As you say, the XS is beautifully designed and built, but the XS's are so easy to build and let's face it, they are a Japanese Bonneville, so they have "Retro" to spare. I think pretty much every one of these are very nice, but then they would have to be, otherwise you wouldn't have presented them. Excellent quality production as always. Many thanks

We say caff racers in the UK, and that's where they originated, from transport caff to transport caff.
I already talked about that “Caff racer" issue in one of my videos.
From one hand, You are right. But nowadays, and considering that "cafe
Racer" is now the worldwide know name, it would be a mistake to use the

Interesting analysis of how you had to manage the data....also, you created a very fine motorcycle....a final note, just whom other than an uncoordinated American would want an automatic trans on a motorcycle? I recall it did not work out well sales wise for Honda a couple of decades ago....after all a large part of the sheer pleasure of riding is shifting.

Hey! What gel do you use? I really find gel very difficult because sometimes I ride a motorbike and it does something to my hair. It goes ummmm, I am not sure how to say this, it goes on roads much better than the tyres. I love it. I know you do too. Good luck and please recommend a shaving kit for me.

Olá Amigo Alex. Não exactamente. A maior parte dos videos com a minha moto, é o Leonel(O mecânico que construiu a moto para mim). Eu só apareço na parte em que subo para cima da moto e arranco. Pessoalmente, não me importo de aparacer de vez em quando, mas sempre sem dar muito nas vistas. Mas durante as filmagens da minha moto, tinha que ser eu a filmar a moto, daí que o Leonel me tenha ajudado pilotando a moto. :) Um abraço.

Love the videos... but, a question unrelated. Would you in fact be the voice of the male commentator on Amazon’s Alexa game “Feel the pressure”? The likeness is amazing. Please check him out if not.
The voice on my videos, is not real. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because I'm Portuguese, and my bad English accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that I like for my videos. I already tried a real American voice in one of my videos, but things didn't work as I expected. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds very good for all non-English natives. Cheers.

I am not concerned about the votation. A single episode dedicated to each of the projects would have leveled the field. The alternative would have been to remain anonymous and reveal who was behind the project after the votes were tallied. Just my opinion. Keep the good work. Obrigadissimo.
Are triumph bikes reliable?
Yes, but not as reliable as most Japanese bikes.
I also work on my project cafe racer honda cb 500 cc four but unluckly at the midle of the project i faces with cylender head gasket problem and in pakistan there is no parts of my project so if some one help me in this project i will be very thankfull to him

this seems to be a bit of a 'let's re-run some old content' … plus it just happens to show your own bike as the #1. hmmmmm … not sure I feel too good about that, to be totally honest.
Well, i think you are being a bit unfair. I have always presented a Top 10 and a Top 20 video every year. And here is why.The Top 10 video, is usually dedicated to explain the best features of each one of the 10 most voted motorcycles. The Top 20 video, is a video to explain the votes of each Motorcycle, and how they can be interpreted compared with previous elections. It is not my fault that my bike was the most voted. But i recognize that this can be an strange situation. And that is exactly why i had to present all the votation data to clarify any doubts about this situation. If i had made one single video with all this information, it would be too long and boring. Cheers.

in all honesty I think the results of your poll are kinda skewed, I watch all the cafe and bobber videos I see come up but I didn't know half the bikes in your poll even existed because videos on them have never popped up in my recommended list so how can the results really be accurate if people don't know they exist. And while your CX is nice it is no where near the exceptionalism of some of the other builds on your list like the BMW which tells me people probably voted for your CX because you said it was yours. Your CX does excel in the way it sounds but there again because it was yours you had infinite control over the way it was mic'd and recorded so even the sound comparison wasn't really fair. if nothing else I figured you would have considered the possibility of bias in your favor and omitted your bike from the poll......
