If you're a fan of Elina Garanca and you haven't read her autobiography yet you're really missing out! It is a really beautiful book and is deeply personal. I can't recommend it enough. It's only available in German but you can simply use Google image translator to translate the pages. It's so good I read it twice

Habe Frau Garanca am 16.12 an der Sacala als Eboli gehört. Ohne Mikroverstärkung ...hoffentlich... Schön, und gepflegt gesungen, aber leider keine dramatische Stimme, die man im Laufe des Abends mehrmals zum Einsatz bringen muss und diese hat man wirklich vermisst... Den Zuschauerraum füllte sie leider nicht...Jedoch ist sie die beste an diesem Abend gewesen. Netrebkos Auftritt möchte ich nichtmal so richtig kommentieren...Stimme wackelt, mittlere und tiefe Lage breit und oft vulgär...
