    Wow, one of the best pro sonic pad videos I have seen so far. I was able to return mine because I have a raspberry pi but you made some really good points. I will keep it.

    I have the Sermoon D1 that's BARELY supported 😁 so i gave it a shot! and holy fudgstickles, had to mess around with the g-code for a few hours to get it to work. TONS of things that where done wrong, from the g-code to home in the center with z offset correction and start locations, etc.. felt like a copy paste and slapstick job was done. I had to look up documentation to fix it.. which like you said IS awesome.
    Now with a TON of hardware design fixes i did myself and this, I'm printing museum pieces at 200mm/s 1000 acceleration. First creality machine, honestly never thought i would get one.. coming from a Replicator Dual which has been upgraded over the years to print as nice as any printer you can imagine to a i3 clone that gets close, i don't see myself going back to those machines
    🥲
    only problem left is i can't go much faster than 250mm/s on bigger prints or the bearings start chattering 😐so i lowered the motor amperage to get smoother stepping, which i do to all my printers anyway. They run much cooler, helps reduce motor artifacts and makes it quieter

    Thanks for the video!
    Can you please tell me what wires you use to connect to the printer?
    Because my connection to the printer is intermittently interrupted.
    Can you share a link to an online store where I can buy good wires?
    Thanks!

    Great Video ... I too am curious if you have the Sonic Pad on your Ender 6 and is there any improvements ... any problems .... I'm thinking of buying one and want to make sure it's worth the price .... Thank You

      I truly believe the sonic pad revitalized my ender 6. I found them to be worthless printers due to bad marlin implementation. With klipper they're incredible. I absolutely recommend picking one up

    Great video! Just purchased one. Any ideas for mounting it on the Ender 6? :-)
    The RJ45 port on it, would that work for remote access within the local LAN and outside?

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  Před rokem +1

      I need to work on a mount for it. There are none right now and they won't be useful to me because I have 4 printers on the pad, but I think I can look into make a mount for it if I find time. You can connect through the ip address, but right now only locally, as far as I'm aware. With recent root access it should be possible to access it remotely off network, but at the moment no one has got that working

    I have just ordered the Pad. I have had and used 3D printers since 2010. this is a game changer. SO YEAH octoprint etc so i was going to go with a Prusa next. let's just say i like it but just something has always stopped me. SO from my first Reprap Rapman 3.2 to a Tevo Tarantula, to a 300x300x500 self built and a JGMaker Artist Pro i decided to add a S1 Plus, add 10w laser module and Sonic Pad. thanks for your vieo - i convinced me. could i use the pad with the JGMaker i wonder... hmmmmmmmm

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  Před rokem

      How does it cut it? Maybe it is pinching the filament too hard? Can you unscrew the clamping pressure to make the gear less strong?

    Will they end up supporting 3rd party printers? I have an Ankermake M5 and a Anycubic Cobra Max. It would be great if they supported these.

    • @ThePrintHouse
      @ThePrintHouse  Před rokem +1

      They already support 3rd party printers. Some of the more popular printers are supported with default printer configuration files. Of the ones that are not supported by default, there is a configuration wizard to create your own printer profile and that supports a large majority of the printer market. As for the AnkerMake M5, I suspect that will be a very long time until it is cracked in order to install klipper on the main board. There is a community member in my discord (link in bio) that actually did install Klipper on his M5. He used a BTT board though, not the stock board. I suspect the Kobra Max IS functional with the SonicPad, but it is not supported by default

    the only issue is that they can just crank on the heater, big tree tech is coming out with a PAD 7 and that wont be as dangerous as a sonic pad

    HI, CAN I USE THE PAD WITH A CR-10 SMART PRO, I KNOW I WOULD HAVE TO ELIMINATE THE WIFI BOX , THIS IS MY UNDERSTANDING AND IF I AM WRONG PLEASE LET ME KNOW I HAVE HAD THE CR-10 SMART PRO FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS AND I DO HAVE A PRUSA MK3S+ RUNNING ON RESPBEERY PI ON A RASP PAD , SO THE SONIC PAD WITH KIPPER SOUNDS GOOD, BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM ANYONE , ABOUT THE TRUE COMPATIBILITY OF THE SONIC PAD WITH THE CR-10 SMART PRO , THANK YOU.
