i did hardwire the thinkware Q800 pro on my 22 civic hatchback last month, was thinking about the blackvue dash cam too, but i like the design of the thinkware more, its right perfectly right in the front of the rear view mirror, i dont see it there, but your dash cam video way better than mine though :))

Acc is for accessory not auxiliary. This wire will be used when you turn the car to accessory just like your radio. Your camera won’t stay on when you have it hooked to the dome light in the case that you are saying. You are basically giving the camera full power with how it is wired.
My camera turned on and off the way it was wired in this video. If you have issues I suggest contacting blackvue
Thank you for your video. can you explain how to remove the side panel on the dash (drivers side when door is open). I've been trying but dont want to pull too hard and break tabs it if there is a screw etc.
Also what did you use to earth the battery pack? any bolt on car will work or a specific one near fuse box?

Do you know how it is possible to have the red line around your Air vent knobs (just below the screen)? I find it very nice but in the European Hatchback Civic, it is not red colored by default...
I have no clue if that’s possible. I think that would require a lot more work.

Do you have to have the power brick to use parking mode? Where the dash cam will record if someone runs into you while the car is off?
Yes, my dash cam records any movement in front of my car and it will alert me when I get inside the car that it sensed an impact while in parking mode.
