Frame drum (bendir, tombak, daf, tef, duff, tambourine, drum, timbre...), one of the oldest instruments in history, we see it under different names in many cultures. It is a form of the percussion instrument known ascircle or tambourine in classical Turkish music and especially in Mevlevi dhikr music, specific to the Maghreb countries (especially Morocco and Algeria).12. It was widely used in Medieval European music as timbre or tymbre (French) from the 19th century onwards. In Shamanism, which is one of the old beliefs that has very few believers today, shaman drums are used by the clergy in rituals. Two basic ingredients are required to make this musical instrument; wood and leather. A distinctive feature of bendir, which is generally produced by stretching leather around a circular hoop with a diameter of 40 to 55 cm, is the strings stretched on the inside to provide resonance.
