This engine uses Psych Engine as a foundation. It is a branch of psych that aims to improve the gameplay experience. Some community contributions have been used for scripting.

I love the small detail of the little timer appearing, that counts down how long the opponent’s turn is. This engine looks great and I can’t wait to see where you take it!

Everything is gorgeous, but honestly, I'd suggest some things, mostly about the HUD
-The lock-in is really cool, I love that everything gets darkened except for the opponent and player, but the heartbeat is too loud imo, I think it would be better if it was more subtle
-I'd say the difficulty name should go on the right with the rank, because there's too much on the left and too little on the right
-The turn timer should be below the player notes like with the middle scroll, I think it would make it more obvious who is the player and who is the opponent for new players
-Maybe putting the combo percentage in the place of the turn timer or on top of player notes
-The effect BF has when he gets 200% combo is cool, but it's too distracting, notes look too hard to read with it, maybe making it less bright or something idk
-In the middle scroll everything looks great as it is, I'd just recommend to move the difficulty name to the right again

Ngl but I think I might switch form Psych engine to this engine hopefully the chart editor is just as good as the one in psych and it can still be compiled easily like psych
This is a branch of psych, so it uses it as a foundation. It provides all the features of psych while adding onto the experience

It looks pretty interesting! There are a few things here I hope are toggles such as the turn timer bar, key display at the bottom left, and the combo display in the top right since the UI does feel a bit too crowded at times. Overall though, I can see there's definitely a lot of effort put into it!

This so amazing there is no way to explain it! However there are some things I would want from this:
All this needs is the freeplay menu, sticker transition and result screen from the base game and it'll be perfect!
Also make the normal note skins from the base game and maybe some noteskin loader/customization similar to psych's mod loader but for noteskins!
If you wanna do more maybe a 2 player mode where the opponent can give the other health drain by pressing notes! Like what some modes do!
I honestly wish I can do all that but unfortunately i don't know how to use haxecode! I know Rozebud's FPS Plus engine is porting the freeplay menu so try that, but yeah markedengine is just using the old FP menu. I tried porting the results screen too and it just crashes the game whoops... Noteskins tho I can change it back to the OG note skin but this one is so clean

absolutely loving it, the graphics look REAL crisp, all i'm hoping for is a way to tone down the effects a lil, there was a LOT happening on screen i couldn't even concentrate on the gameplay. still fantastic work all the best for the future!

i think the "note combo" splash is pretty useless if it doesn't give you a number, but the whole mod looks really cool so far

THE ALIEN HOMINID UI IN HIGH IS EVERYTHING (im working on a mod that includes alien hominid and the UI is so similar to my idea its funny lol)

Nope not a shader, just a really optimised lua script. Its called bf glow and occurs when you get a combo of 200 or above. It also applies to the notes too.

Hello, this engine looks promising! It could have a Android version on future? Looking Foward to it, And, if possible, have option to certain changes in the main game disabled. Hoping it get released soon!

It's part of erect mode only, the normal sprites are available for base game difficulties

Will there be any mac version of it? I ask since the psych engine port for ios got stuck in the version 0.5.2, excluding a lot of new features. This engine does seem to have a lot more potential than any other one and i hope you continue the project.
i'm developing this on mac lol, its guaranteed. im porting it over to windows as well

As much as id love that, i dont think its possible due to technical limitations. My engine has been in the works a year ago, before the fnf update. Im glad you like the engine tho! Stay tuned for a massive update this summer

Will multiplayer act as an actual cross multiplayer? Or will it just be a versus mode with two people that can play locally on the same device?
It is a versus mode, two players can choose to play bf or the opponent. It can simply be toggled in settings and will require an extra keyboard

It could be in the final update of an update or special engine anniversary.

How is the optimization compared to base or Phych? Us craptop gamers can't really use it unless it runs really well.
Its definitely more demanding than psych but i am doing my best to optimise it. Theres low quality settings and you can turn off anti aliasing

this seems really cool and there are some features that i really like like on demand pose anims (atleast i think) and wait timers. however, there is something about this engine that irks me about this engine. mostly because it feels like there is to much going on. a vannila engine like psych may be boring, but an engine with all the crazyist topings doesnt seem that good either to me. and ima be blunt here “remastered” bf is -1b social credit. this is just my opinion tho.
