Does this treat fungal infections in lungs?

Yes! It does. Your doctor will prescribe it to you if you have this infection called aspergillosis. It will treat the lesions in the lungs. Usually your doctor will keep you on it for 3 months or until infection is cleared.
      Hope all is well

I am caregiver to an 85 year old man with invasive aspergillus of the CNS, had brain surgery to remove mass, small amount remains, been on 200 mg Voriconazole 2x a day since surgery 8 months ago. Last MRI showed reduction in what remains. Now he refuses to take his Voriconazole. How long will it take for the Aspergillus to take over his body?

It is possible he is cured - depends on how big the mass is and his immunocompromised state. A repeat scan in 4-6 weeks would be sensible.
Cerebral aspergillosis is unlikely to spread from the brain - its usually (bad) effects are all in the head.
