I still stand by the fact that this movie was underrated. Sure it's not much like the OG series, but I think that's fine, it holds up as a solo thing really well. Only real grip is that the characters don't fully act like their OG counterparts, so they can feel like completely different characters at times, story is fine, but could have been better. But everything else (especially the humor and animation) are on point.
His emotions are better explored in the show though kinda subtle In s1 he seems to emote less tho still have emotions then in the flashback when he found out he was a robot he seems to enter more there and his mannerisms are similar to his father, and after the flashback he seems to emote more, then in later seasons his mannerisms and the way he emotes is more like a mix between his father and his siblings while also being his own person. In the movie tho they play him being a robot as a joke which is fine because that's how all three lego movies are, they're supposed to be comedic
