    WD-40 is for water displacement not lubrication. I would suggest regular oil or better yet a Teflon spray.
    Many people use WD-40 as a lubricant, but over time things like locks will get to a point where you can't unlock them. I've seen locksmiths use it and I'm not sure if they don't know or figure they'll have to come back sooner

      That is not what WD40 says about there own product,, they clearly claim that it is also for lubricants.

      I was going t say the same thing. WD 40 works great for cleaning, Simple experiment spray it on glass and you will find it disappears in a few days. In locks it freezes at a fairly low temperature. Teflon sprays have been taken off the market,

    @Morten - Caramba is not oil , its for stuck bolts and stuff (rust) - use normal "machine oil" or in- expensive 20-50 engine oil
    You can even use "lin-olie" if you want something that dont polute 👍

      I use the same plant-based oil as for my chainsaw. Recommended by a retired forest worker having had skin trouble with the regular oils. Engine oils often has some "interesting" additives.

      Many people make that mistake , It will help a little , but you are right its not good lubrication .

    I bought that same hedge trimmer from Home Depot about three years ago. One of the deals where you buy two batteries and get the tool for free. Have used it quite a bit on the shrubs around my home and lot and it has been a stellar performer. No issues at all.

    LOL, 6 year follow up review. I reckon Morten is looking for a new Ryobi product and wanted to remind them how much he likes their stuff.... ("send me a review sample" ) 😀

    I would not recommend WD40 for lubricating that. WD40 is a penetrating oil, and whilst it will lubricate for a while, it evaporates leaving a sticky residue. Use a 3-in-1 type of oil, or a chainsaw oil. Or better, use the Ryobi oil (expensive) which you have there

    Good update video Morten. What happened to the Little Menace? It’s been a long time since it’s been on screen.

      I was fixing some uneven lawn thing last year,, and took up the wire for the robot. and the little Menace has been really unstable,, for quite a while. I might need a new one.

    Is yours heavy? Mine is really heavy! I can only use it a while until my arms are very tired.

    • @MyPlayHouse
      @MyPlayHouse  Před 9 měsíci

      Well,, it´s like 3,2KG with the battery,, it does become heavy, after some time,, but even with my offices job,, I am able to do at least 15 minutes of trimming... and then I am more or less done,,, with the work :-)
