  • Featuring The Workhorse Series tractors, American Series tractors, new tillage tools and 6000 series planters. Also shown are the Spirit of Cockshutt and Sprit of Oliver tractors, both of which still exist today in collections. I did not see the Spirit of Minneapolis Moline which is odd because it was on the same tour as the other 2, but it also still exists and lives in a barn next to the Spirit of Cockshutt.

Thanks for sharing this great old promotional video. I worked at an AGCO Allis Dealer in the Mid 1990’s. It was funny that they Compared the Magnum to the White, they had the same engines. Every Manufacturer had to put there spin on stuff. Thanks again for the videos, Ethan.

Cool video, it's sad all of the dealers went by the wayside in the 80s. Only reason deere is still rolling hot with huge market share is they kept the dealer network intact.

These old videos are great! Thanks for the effort of putting them up!
Back in the age of this video there were a lot of white planters and discs in my area. The tractors never caught on though. They had a bad reputation in my area. Probably lack of a dealer. Deere and case followed by mf were the most popular.

Wish they allowed all of the Workhorse models to have the color choices that the American series did. It’d be cool to see a bunch of them all in green, yellow, and red other than the three spirit tractors.

Considering two tractors in that test, use the same basic engine outside of the difference in stroke and compression lol. Interesting that we never saw any Minnie mo yellow. Cummins engines were probably by far the cheapest operating ones of all the tractors they had built. And the last true tractors that had any Oliver or Minneapolis heritage in them. But considering by the competition having power shift, and probably lack of a good sales force. Otherwise we would have had a couple here since we had owned uni system at the time. I always thought that if all allis dealers had sold White instead of deutz it would have survived with new idea as a full line

7120 was 155 on the pto so now your 11 horse smaller. 4555 was 162 on the pto which is close but if you’re going to make a comparison between at least 2 competitive tractors they need to be the equivalent of each other. Call your congressman and complain.

@@Oliver66FarmBoy not sure why you're getting shjtty with me, You're acting like you're the one who made the promo lol. All I'm saying is it matters obviously higher hp is going to be a little worse economy, the Deere had the highest and was the worst of the bunch, the case was closer and finished in the middle, and the white performed the best and had the least power. I bet they'd all end up pretty close to eachother. Anyway. Have a good one
