Ur parent's anger has reasons. They are experienced way more than you, no offense. In this earth trend comes and goes. This is the Era of GOOGLE, YT, TESLA. But nobody know what next 10 or 20 years will be like. If google yt goes down all the creators go down. Some will find replacement by their creativity (not saying u r not creative) but 80% will be filtered out. But if you do your college, masters then you will have a longing job. U will have skill sets and strong basic foundation on ur field so even the company u doing job goes down, u can get in another future company, u will just need to keep urself updated abt new stuffs. Well my opinion here may also have some potholes as I am only 22 but I will never drop college for yt. I will do along as much possible🙂
@@samareshdas767 just because someone has lived longer doesn't mean they're right, and it's honestly crazy to me that some people still teach their kids that. Not everyone wants to go to college for several years to get a boring job for the rest of their life just so they can pay the bills. People who go to CZcams are definitely taking a risk, but it's something they enjoy, which I would say is well worth it.

I started developing. Gaining skills..now I am a full stack web developer and studying devops. I now only stream once a month just for fun. My parents were different, they supported my gaming and streaming but when it didn't worked out they also supported me. They said it's okay to lose, study the final year, get a good job now and then again after some years start your dreams, next time you'll be successful. Also it's okay for me, I have to become independent now, content creation is a gamble as it's a business but a full time job at a MAANG company will guarantee me real money which I can use to grow my content creation career later in life.
I NEEDED this, that's what I'm currently doing at the moment. I've been on CZcams for a year and just on January I started switching things up and blew up my 2 channels. I'm currently making around $500 a month but the channel is still at a growth stage. I know I need to drop out if I want to maintain the momentum I already have built up so I told my parents (Who are paying for my education) that I need some time until class goes from online to real life (idk what the word is in English). So I think I only have until the end of the year to start earning more than $1000 per month in order to be able to convince them that I need to focus on this full time (So that I can avoid going back to uni). I always felt dumb because I underperform in the academic world and I see no future for me in it, but now I'm finally developing my confidence since I feel I'm above average at what I'm doing on CZcams and social media in general in the future.

That's a big what if situation imo. Better finish your degree while doing yt or streaming. Being a content creator isn't really a stable source of income so having a backboard to be able to work elsewhere is a good investment

Not everyone is rich, that’s why parents don’t want their children to drop out, because of the fact there’s a chance the child is never gonna be famous, like yeah encouragement sure, but you can’t just drop out and say “Okay! Time to start a CZcams channel!” Like that’s not realistic at all, and extremely stupid. Where are you gonna get the money for your house? Where?? CZcams???? Something that takes people years of hard word and dedication that isn’t enough to not get you in debt. So please, don’t encourage children to drop out.
Do NOT drop out. Do it on the side and drop college when you have a real income, not a big dream. And if you cant juggle both, chances are you won't make it anyways
