It’s how the past employees worked with the customer base, wrote the stories to accompanying maps.
You can say he’s yapping but the days of Jason Blundell and before were simply the golden time.

Alot of people all believed zombies would be fine without Jason Blundell, but now zombies is just seen as an extra marketing tool for COD, instead of the incredible, intricate story that we all fell in love with

Actually I tried a demo of a game called Sker Ritual a while back, it had the closest thing to that proper OG treyarch feel since Black ops 3

Im not saying Jason Blundell did everything, but he definitely had the zombie team on the right track, I think they rushed the OG story because he was leaving, probs why they split black ops 4 into 2 different stories, the og zombie story had at least 3 more games in it before they needed to wrap it up, 3 more cycles at least haha
Nuketown Zombies is such a goated map. Love to boot up my PS3 and hop on, maybe some split screen with the fam, and cry sometimes when Jug never appears.

nuketown zombies was my shit back in middle school, I recall when we were doing standardized testing, we'd go in for like a few hours, take the test and leave so I would just get to play the entire week pretty much

One thing I don’t like about Nuketown was the random perk system popping out every 6 to 7 rounds or something. If you’re lucky, you get juggernog on the first try.
Pretty sure it was the number for the population on the board in the map, once it reached '0' a new perk would drop in
It was a challenge map so they made it difficult

From rounds 1-5, 5-10, 10-15, and 15-20 is when a new perk can spawn. Only one per set of rounds.

I mean...BO6 is gearing up it's Hype Campaign, so it makes sense to cover Treyarch Zombies.
My theory about the whole CIA/CDC operatives even being present in green run/ nuketown is that after the nukes were dropped from moon, the remnants of the United States Government and Military, and the remnants of the CDC are sent out to different locations in an attempt to quell the zombie outbreak and find resources to rebuild their respective organizations.
Richtofen observes all of these different operatives at all of these different locations, and intervenes in an attempt to kill them. (Explaining the massive amount of zombies, perk machines, wall buys, mystery box, etc.)
The Grief gamemode is Richtofen controlling either the CDC operatives or the CIA operatives to be against the respective team. (Explaining why they are all fighting against each other in the gamemode instead of cooperating.)
I like this, I kinda always considered the cdc and cia not working together but also not really killing each other directly was due to some bureaucracy between departments
Would make sense considering richtofen didn’t want anyone to interfere with his zombie controlling on earth and he had to get rid anyone who messed with the zombies, also why he needed a host (stuhlinger) to help him with it
Great video as always, there’s no way to understand any of this when it’s 2011 and you’re 12 years old trying to survive in the scary zombies game mode, but now it’s all been broken open and revealed. HOURS upon HOURS of hidden details and lore, i love zombies

See when I was a kid, because the map is called “Nuketown” I never thought the guy was wearing a pilot suit. I thought that was a weird hazmat outfit lol

@@Filollisejmina because the dome clearly has a pilot station an its gotta move around somehow an the hazmat suits the cdc wears are completely different loom ip a quick don mask they look just like what we have in the loading screen
I think it’s a pilot mask , the way the black “bubbles” in the background behind him looks like like they’re traveling upwards in a group-like fashion makes me think that that he’s super super high in altitude he needs the mask
and the horizon being somewhat low

i have a theory. What if the bo2 origins map is connected to nuketown due to it having the same drill schematics and the broken arrow got the drill built in 2025 due to them getting the schematics and finally having the required materials :). Just a thought.

Origins takes place in dimension 63 and nuke town takes place outside dimension 63

One key thing is to keep in mind time is basically non existent when around E115
I'm gonna chalk up the drill date to the time travel that can happen within the MDTs in the original timelime. Group 935 then making contact with Broken Arrow. (Schuster)The unanswered questions leading up to Alpha Omega is likely just a retcon/looked over by Blundel from Zilinski. It's hard to have everything answered with such a complex story that has multiple timelines and dimensions, and with a transition in writers.

i always thought the drill was inside the mushroom cloud in nuketown map, its the right shape and size plus if you see theres lightning coming out of the cloud sometimes, something illustrated in the loading screen. i dont know might be a stretch but thats where my mind went with the loading screen
Would like to point out how the dome looks very similar to the demon core
The dome is to hide the drill when people fly over. lol
The dome is the same diameter as the crater so when not in use it probably seals off the crater and displays an “image” to not be seen out in the wild

I love when games purposely give us a game or game mode that has very little to it but has such a huge story over time and a great fan base that comes up with their own theories. Like FNaF for example.. it started out so simple, we knew nothing about it, then boom, about a decade later and we have so much story and so many theories and that's what I love about games like this
The drill powering the lab in Alcatraz is such a unsatisfying answer. Too bad all the creative talent at treyarch that crafted these beautifully complex stories are all gone and won’t ever give a conclusion :\

Nuketown was such a disappointment when it dropped. All we wanted was the proper ending of moon and to defeat richtoffen in black ops 2. Just as disappointing as treyarch shelving the great war map for fucking call of the dead.

Zombies started as a cool little game mode for players that completed the game and ended up being having an intricate and detailed story on itself
The comic loading screens are supposed not canon. They contradict a lot of things and basically the Alpha Omega intro delete them in purpose.
CodLoreFacts said that they were just alternative universes and that's it. They aren't relevant.

Back before the new zombies timeline was ever made for our new characters. Treyarch gave hints about a meteorite also crashing down near nuketown.
Another note is that when bo2 dropped. If you go to the back of the house which has a bunker and a hazard symbol on it. If you interacted with it, one of the bo2 tranzit characters was in there by himself and he needed help escaping. It was believed the electric man from the tranzit map maybe teleported him there.

Also the character in the yellow suit has always seemed significant to some extent. Is it possible this drilling of element 115 and electricity produced by somehow turned the yellow suit guy into the avacardo?
