I used to be a dancer. Did you also notice that he is the only member that falls into an unprotected half-split without bracing himself when doing the marionette part of the dance? Also, on the last section of "love you so bad" notice how at the end he throws his arm so violently out that it looks like he may dislocate his shoulder?! He has 1,000% commitment to every move no matter how big or small.
He always does extra, the hardest moves, sings lines right after tiring choreo. Just watch how long his singing part is at the END of the performance. He does the stunts, travels the stage the longest of all idol dancers(Korean TV recently did an analysis), sings the hardest parts and notes. BigHit really know how to take advantage of him both in positive and negative ways.
All that and I'm a former art teacher and a huge fan of dance. Jimin's body lines are beautiful, his leg and foot positions are precise, every throw of his hands and swing of arms delivered with commitment. His knee lifts to above the belt have power and purpose. As a pro please don't think we would be bored with technical details we love details, especially inside double secret info. Stay well
Something else that never fails to impress me is his level of control. The isolation of his joints is insane.... if you look closely at his hands they dangle so much due to the intensity of his movements while his arms are locked tightly never fails to impress me.

Last year on I-Land (ep 7) he gave a hot tip to performers dancing this song and that's exactly how he described it. He basically said, you have to let your body fall like you have no concern about getting hurt and then did a demo for them.

“Lost in the music” is like the perfect way to describe Jimin. I think that’s one of the reasons I love watching him dance because you can tell he’s not thinking about anything else, he’s just in the moment.

Jimin has talked about how difficult it was for him to make the transition from modern dance to Kpop/hip hop style dance, and how he almost got kicked out of BTS because of that struggle.
Modern dance (and ballet) are anchored in fluidity. But Kpop/hip hop dance has a lot of explosive, popping moves that are not fluid.
I love how Jimin has managed to integrate the fluidity, stillness, and incredible balance of his former training into his Kpop dances. Although I appreciate Taemin, Kai, and all the other amazing Kpop dancers, none have the combination of extreme fluidity along with the explosive pop of movement that Jimin has.
I've gone through a couple of his fan cams, hitting the pause button split second by split second. I could not find one second where he was off-balance or the screenshot wasn't beautiful. I'm sure I wouldn't believe the number of hours he puts in to reach this kind of perfection.

Like Ola said this fancam just shows EVERYTHING that makes Jimin one-of-a-kind: his technical skills/precision with shifting tempos & the pulses, his attention to detail with those hands, his intensity that never wavers throughout the whole thing, his emotiveness with the anguished facial expressions and even that deliberate plodding step forward in the middle. I've always been a brick wall when it comes to dancing, he literally taught me how beautiful it can be.
I can watch Jimin dance forever. He just so captivating and has such beautiful dance lines. One of the reasons he’s my ult bias in Kpop

jimin is so hypnotizing on stage, u just can't take ur eyes off of him.
when it comes to their taped performances i actually prefer (good quality) fancams or big hits own camera work cus broadcasters tend to show the audience or do lots of "fancy" camera zooms etc. it's distracting and takes time away from the actual choreography that im here for. for real just put a camera on a tripod and im good.
the way i can equate cutting away from the stage while they're performing is to compare it to cutting the mic on someone in the middle of a high note. it's jarring and frustrating. maybe that's why some bts fancams have more views on yt than official broadcasters do.

Btw the move at 3:54 that you said you love is supposed to represent a marionette straining against/moving with its strings which u can see by looking at his fingers which tremble in the peculiar way that a marionette's hands do. The detail and precision in each of his movements is insane.

When you watch all of them dance, you will realize a huge difference. Jimin puts a lot of emotion into every move. Each move is well executed and so well done. (Not saying the other members aren’t good dancers cause they totally are, but I feel that they don’t portray such energy as Jimin does during performances).
I hope you'll react to more of his fancams because they're perfect to really take in all of his dancing and focus on the details he puts in etc. He's the most stunning dancer I've ever seen and i genuinely can't take my eyes off him when he's performing. I love watching your reactions of him 💗

Thank you so much for wonderful reactions! I really enjoy them! If you watch really closely, in the part where Jimin is "throwing" his hands, you can actually see one of his rings fly off! When it was 1st released, when the views almost reached the existing record for most fancam views, due to complaints, CZcams deleted between 10 and 20 million views! I used to watch it multiple times a day because Jimin was so amazing. The views were deleted while I was watching and it was so disconcerting to see the numbers go down by so much. (I can't remember the exact numbers cos I'm old!)
So true!! I've noticed the views will also stall for a length of time! Solo/haters work against this fancam gaining more views then their fave to increase their views instead! Pathetic!

Are you kidding? I just woke up. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I had to click this first. Jimin did so well it was so intense, but also, I think the boys lucked out on some princely outfits. Some of the tops remind me of the modern hanbok fashion. The overall look because of the tight fit pants make them look like they are extras on a Romeo and Juliet set. Fatal. God bless their costume designer putting them in black and white with that SPLASH OF RED!! It captures vulnerability. And the red is like a trail of rose petals or a trail of blood in different parts of their dance. When they kneel and pull their hands to their heart in a stabbing motion, the red just keeps catching your eyes.

No disrespect to anyone commenting nor to BTS members.....but, to address another's comments here: V and Jungkook are very good dancers and have good technique. J-Hope is masterful at his craft and flows beautifully with the music to say nothing of the fact that he is charming, sexy, and has a killer smile however.....the difference is Jimin doesn't move with the music; he IS the music. He and the music are one, entwined, inseparable. That along with his level of intensity cannot be taught. Some people just have it and they will always draw you in. You can't help watching them. All BTS members are wonderful and bring their own unique gifts to the table.

It doesn't even matter if some people say this or this idol is a better dancer. Jimin is the most memorable dancer and performer in Kpop. He is the most impactful. He is the one who everyone thought had the most center time in Blood, Sweat and Tears, when he in fact had far from it. He is the one who's solos are always iconic. He's the one who makes any tiny center time or dance break a "killing part". He's the one so many just can't keep their eyes away from. It even seems like people resent him because they themselves are drawn away from their biases and towards him in performances. He's just that good. Hard work and immense natural talent.

Jimin's impact in Kpop is undeniable, he literally made contemporary dancing a part of boy group dance choreography. notice how rookie boy groups routine also includes contemporary now. and boy group dances used to be more about synchronization but now, it's more about expressiveness of the choreography. Plus Jimin is named Rookie's Bible for many reasons. Even to this day rookie idols are covering his iconic dance stages, especially Lie which is almost 5 years old. Even Minzy of 2ne1 is a big fan of Jimin's dancing, way before BTS become this globally popular. Idol coaches keep saying that Jimin's way of dancing cannot be copied or taught, it's very unique only to Jimin like an art masterpiece.
Remember when his father said that Jimin decided to be singer-performer when he was in middle school and convinced his father to let Jimin enroll as dance major in Busan High School of Arts? Jimin at that time was already winning street dance battles, his hiphop dancing skill is well-known in his hometown. But he still decided to study different kinds of dances. Other rookie idols at that age are already auditioning, but not Jimin, he decided to take proper training first to contemporary (his teacher said he took many classes of Modern, Korean dance, and Ballet). Those kinds of dances are not part of idol training. Jimin at a young age is really a detailed planner, just like his father said that's why he got convinced to support Jimin in his dreams instead of making Jimin use his honor students status and high IQ to enter Science High School.
Jimin deciding to get proper contemporary dance training made his idol training time in BH the shortest, only 6 months while other idols should have at least 2 years, but he still debuted as main dancer and lead vocalist.
Jimin's determination, talent, and hardwork combined is a force to be reckoned with. Years from now I won't be surprised if his life story is made into a movie. Because seriously, from his young age to now, everything seems so surreal. Others compare his pre-debut to debut story to that of an anime protagonist's background story, and yeah, it's a fair comparison, lol.
