All of the visuals in the video are references to previous music/performances. There are references to the previous 10 years in EVERYTHING they are singing and doing!
I remember the first time I watched this video. I thought it was beautiful. I only got less than 1/2 of the references. Now, it get me emotional.
Yea, I don't think this was a good one for you to watch yet. The song is a banger, but you won't even get half of the wonderful references in this video. Now that you have seen it, maybe save it to watch again in a year or so. I have been ARMY for almost 8 years, and I love your reactions. My favorite thing to do is watch new reactors find BTS. Many do it just for the views, so I refuse to continue to watch them. You seem genuinely interested in our 7 very talented men. Thank you for being one of the good ones!
So many references to Spring Day! 2:57/3:07 JK and the ‘You Never Walk Alone’ Carousel in the same position; 3:17 Jimin picking up the shoes from the ground; 3:47 J-hope with an identical outfit as in Spring Day and the train; 5:52 Jimin doing the same hand movement as in the latter part of Spring Day; 6:52 Tae doing the ‘photograph’ move like him and Jin did in Spring Day; 7:10 And most notably, the ending is a recreation of the train scene in Spring Day where the camera pans away and we can see each member!

And yeah this was their sort of goodbye for a little while BTS song because they were enlisting. And, that's why a lot of the solo albums and most things since 2023 are considered their next chapter. We are all living Chapter Two!

If there was an official MV, then reactors have given it 24 hours to get views before posting in the past. ARMY has been streaming the audio since 11 pm US CST last night. It’s a bop.

@@2003phylis Source for this claim, please? I'm not aware of any changes to how YT counts streams that would change the embargo we always request on reaction videos. Yes, they have made lots of changes...but none that would affect this request. We are struggling even MORE to get streams in the first 24 hours. The last thing we need is for people to spend time watching reaction videos in the first 24 hours instead of streaming themselves.

This song was dropped the day before the 2022 Festa Dinner Party video was released. This song made so much more sense after watching the dinner party. They announced to us that they would be focusing more on solo endeavours for awhile, but also expressed to us the pain they had been going through. I would strongly suggest watching that video. It's a whole different perspective now that we have seen Chapter 2 of BTS and it also explains their reasons for wanting to do solo projects. The line "my best is what comes next" confused me when I first heard the songs and I wondered why they didn't use the words "our best is what comes next". It all made sense the next day. ARMY jumped all over me when this came out and I commented "this sounds like they are saying goodbye" This was before they announced a break from group activities and well before military service announcements. On reflectection its a song to soften the blow that there would be a pause in group activities with a promise they will regather again, which is what they are doing. They keep their promises
Older ARMY knew what was coming with their last 3 new songs. Younger ARMY were having a hard time admitting this. BTS started with this song to tell us they would be back, not to worry, and reminding us through all the hints from their past , right back to the beginning with the school bus. So many memories from past songs in this video, plus a beautiful song.

As 7, proud, Korean men, it's just..."something they do"...and they were GOING to do it, no matter what.
I've stated it - many times, on pretty much every social media platform - South Korean boys grow up knowing...hearing their dads, grandfathers, uncles, older brothers, and older male friends talk about their time when they served. It's not like it's something suddenly sprung on them when they turn 18.
I think a LOT of newer ARMY were just...more upset that they'd "just found BTS" and then, (to THEM) they were suddenly "going away".

I said the same. I've been ARMY since 2014. They had been trying to say it in lyrics for a while... bur it took FESTA and their own words to make it sink in for some. I refused to watch that Festa again until just the other day. It was too hard seeing RM cry. You expect it from some of the others... but RM crying killed me. I was like... just go on and do what you gotta do. You said you're coming back. You've never lied to us... so I will trust and wait. 💜
I didn't think that, I just another chapter in their life... Jin HAD to enlist and had a feeling they ALL were going to enlist together, but it's cool to see 10 years of their lives in one video. It's so more meaning too.

The idea behind waiting 24 hours is so that ARMY can focus on increasing views for a new MV, since the views in the first 24 hours are an important metric. However, if there is no video, that doesn't apply. In this case, JK wasn't able to find the time to film an MV for us, so you can react to it and post whenever you want.
It still counts as Streaming in Spotify & ITunes still needs to be pushed in the first 24 hour period without any distractions
@@emmamcintyre6997 Actually, it doesn't count as streaming on YT. The view counts that are the important metric are the views on a specific video. In this case, there is no specific video. And you aren't going to get reactions on Spotify and iTunes, except maybe on podcasts and that's not streaming.
I tear up every time I hear this song or watch the video. When this first came out, it felt like the end because of 2022 Festa. They said it wasn't and I put my trust in them and they didn't lie. All their solo projects have just been better and better so I can't even imagine how it's going to be when they're all together again. The best is yet to come. 💜

If you want to watch it, there's a behind the scenes making of this music video. It was shot in the desert outside of Las Vegas when they held their last concerts there (2021). During his days of filming his part, poor V and the crew got caught up in a rough sandstorm, but they continued to film until they finished. Poor V talked about how much sand he got in his eyes.
It would be a good reaction video for those who have never seen it.

If you watched BTS from the beginning this song and all props and ideas are where they came from and special effects from former mv's. Now they are starting over... a new chapter when they return from military. Most korean groups kinda disappear at this age... but BTS once again is making a way, as Namjoon says, building a new road map for Korean artist to continue on no matter what their age, just like the rest of world's musicians. This was the song left for ARMY after their last physical FESTA in 2022 before they took a break to prepare for the military and all the special moments recorded for us while they are in camp. They are truly special. (all props are from previous mv's. It all started in a school bus and they are sitting in the exact sitting arrangement as in Spring Day video in the train - but they are older now and Spring has come.)

This MV, so much to unpack. There is so much reference to their work throughout the years
They filmed this video in Las Vegas while permission to dance concerts. This song was dedication BTS career. Best yet to come. The start of guys doing their individual projects.
The bus scene in particular is a reference to where they started... see no more dream... even their positions and movements. When they did it on stage they were all in the bus and Yoongi was so close to tears because he knew what we were about to be told at Festa 21 regarding the hiatus.
The idea is to let the original content be the only place you can access it so the numbers on that really reflect how many people are listening/ viewing instead of watching 15 reactions that don’t count to the toward the view totals. Just a way for BTS to get the reaction they deserve on what they put out.
It's about all their past music and hardships. It's a leaving song for the Army before Jin who was the first to enter military service. And they were all working so hard preparing material after material so when the rest of the members started entering the service, ARMY won't be so lonely without our Guys. I’m an army for almost 6 years now and I’m basically a nobody. I am a recent subscriber that just happened to find one of your reaction videos of jimin set me free and have been binge watching your vids since. I would just want to say thank you, because of you I was able to find BTS again. Sorry if the following words won’t make sense because I’m currently writing this while crying so bare with me. This past few months im actually starting to stray away from bts because of the busy schedule and other personal stuff and is having a hard time. But because of you i was able to get back too the songs that brings me comfort and reminded me that im not alone. In one of your videos that i recently watch you said an old quote that us army’s have that BTS will find you when you need them most, and i think this is the way of the universe to help me or bts find me again. The universe gave me your videos as a way for me to find them again and I’m so grateful for that. I truly am and i hope they have helped you too in someway.

As with all songs for fan, YTC is beautiful and full of references to older BTS songs. So much to unpack here. I'm sure some ARMY had already done that for you. This song was dropped few days before they announced their hiatus during Festa 2022. It signaled the end of BTS chapter 1, and they were telling us not to be sad about it and comforting us with the song because "the best is yet to come". At that time, everyone felt sad and was crying about the hiatus. But army had NO IDEA the amount of content they would be dropping almost every month since they announced their hiatus!! They planned everything i bet starting during pandemic, they have created soooo much content since then, all pre-recorded before their enlistment to make sure we are kept busy until 2025!!
Also some points i just noticed now, the piano that suga set fire to is now covered in flowers, and the members (are sitting in the exact same seats) in the bus who had all looked sad in spring day are now smiling! :D
The dance you saw from Jimin yesterday when he is in all white, he dose in the video MMA 2019 full stage performance, it's a spectacular video take a look. Some of the things your seeing in this video is in other videos. Yes, also they did a concert prior to military service called Yet to Come, It's one that was at the movie theater, they even show when the go under the stage to change.

This MV was released around the time they announced a hiatus of group activities (to serve their military duty). It was also around the time of the 10 year anniversary from debut (last year June 2023). This is why the lyrics say the best is yet to come, chapter one is over and chapter two will begin soon.
This song is also full of references to their songs over the previous ten years, there are heaps of references to past songs/MVs.
Once you’ve seen more BTS MVs, if you come back and watch this, you’ll recognise a lot of scenes and elements.
Literally every thing in this video is from other videos. Even the final scene is a recreation of the train scene from Spring Day. This was their promise that their military hiatus was NOT a breakup and they would be back. 💜

This was the title track for their Anthology album released June 10, 2022. YES, there were call backs to their previous videos. Some of the ones I noticed were Spring Day, Sea (not a video, but the sound of the ocean reminded me of SEA, a hidden track on one of their albums), Songs from The Most Beautiful Moment in Life albums (Butterfly, Run, I Need U, Young Forever), No More Dream, Wings - Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Just One Day.
their anniversary was a few days after this, and that's when they had their anniversary dinner with ARMY's and announced their Group break, and the beginning of solo projects. Basically the Anthology Album marked the end of Chapter ONE. Then J-Hope released his album Jack In the Box on July 15, 2022, and so it began. They did have that one concert in BUSAN in October 15, 2022, and then Jin released his solo song and then announced he would be enlisting. He was first to enlist on December 13, 2022, and he will be the first to be discharged on June 12, 2024. NEXT WEEK! 💜
This was their last video as a group before going on hiatus to get their military done. It’s a beautiful walk down memory lane, but it is also a song to promise ARMY that they will be back. So many groups go to the military and then don’t regroup. BTS has promised us they will keep performing as long as we are watching, and so believe them. That last scene on the bus - they were sitting in the same positions as they were on the train in Spring Day, except this time they are smiling and happy.
There are many references in this video to thier old mvs and if you don't know it's bts 11 anniversary it will be nice if you react to thier older mvs like thier debut or thier song for the festa I recommend to Jungkook "still with you" and "never let go"💜💜

it is called Army Etiquette. Those rules were installed either 2015 or 2016, i forgot the exact date.
I believe even the last shot in the bus before tge vudeo closes, is a metaphor for their impending military enlistment. Theyll be confined and will not be seen by Army for a while, but that doesn't mean they will disappear. They ride the bus that was there at the very beginning, that took them to the stratosphere, and it will be the one that will bring them back to earth. But because it's a sturdy form of traveling, the boys are saying they are going into their second phase still the same bulletproof boys they were back then, but now even better. Because they are grounded in Army's love.

You were right about the references of other videos. But what you don't know is that this MV was filmed right outside of Vegas. At our sand dunes. It was filmed during their three week stay here in Vegas in 2021. They attended the Grammys, held 4 concerts at Alligent Stadium, and filmed this video and a performance in Palm Springs, California. Keep in mind that these were their last American concerts prior to their announcement of their military duty. In the video, you can see V walking by himself. And it looks like a CGI dust storm. But it wasn't. It was a real dust storm. At the time, we (Las Vegas) had one of our strongest wind storms we had seen in years. Winds had hit upwards of 70 mhp. There is a behind the scenes video that shows what they all did...including V getting thrown around in the wind...you should check out the video...good luck, and thank you for your reaction.
