Chet was done with the honey do list 🤣
Lol. Never ends. Men just find.a.way out...
My College Soil Science Professor would love this. Most people don't understand frost heaving. Think about ice cube tray. When freezes cubes move up . Same about soil with rocks, heavy things move up . Then soil drops. Then rocks get to sun tan 😎
Question I farm in nc and we don't run tillage we bushhog the corn stalks and we try never to run corn on corn it's uselly corn on rye and then beans have ya noticed any different in tillage no tillage
Nothing beats coming home after a hard days work and catching up with the latest LARSON FARMS video Before bedtime !!
We all love ❤️ us some DOUGO and his stories !! Right gang?
I remember the days when we picked Them up by hand. lot of hard work back then. I wouldn't have ever changed it😊
I too remember picking rock by hand 25 cents an hour, spent many a summer day with the rocks.
Yes me too. We would have someone drive the tractor with a flat bed wagon behind it and 4 or 5 of us would walk the field picking up rocks and toss them on the wagon
@@quentinroaldson3041 Hi, when you are talking about 25cents/hour you must have worked in the 1950's? 😊

Chet, I know and have seen throughout the years that you like to have fun and cut up a little, but I have notice that you are and should be turning into your dad and your dad, slowly turning into you Grandad. That is the circle of life, but it keeps the farm in check for your generation, now it is time for you to start getting the next Larson generation ready, as much as you like to have fun this should be easy for you...
The boys are back at it love to see them in the fields after a long winter
119k views and 13k likes and zero dislikes. I think that says it all. Love these guys!
It doesnt show dislikes anymore
Should be 119k likes also not just 13k likes
Chet, your editing is top notch. Really enjoy your field analysis. You keep it light hearted and entertaining for us at home, but if we pay attention, you are making decisions that will have a huge impact on the success of your season. Prayers for the Larson Farms crew and all farmers for a safe and successful 2024 season.
He has an editor that is way talented. Chet sure a tremendous job telling the story with what he captures.
I think he outsources the editing these days.
I remember helping my grandfather pick rocks one time. It seemed odd because the fields didn’t have rocks anywhere else and once they were removed there were never any again.
I’d always imagined a settlers wagon with a load of rocks had a catastrophic breakdown and he dumped them there on the prairie so he could limp back to his homestead with the breakdown. The nearest rocks from the farm are 8-10 miles away…
After being down for more than three weeks after picking up one 18 pound wriggling cat, I can appreciate your dedication to rock picking. Take care of your backs, God only gives us one each!
Good morning Larson Farm, from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤
That rock picker seemed pretty cool!
Gotta make it BIGGER now lol
I remember picking rocks up in my younger years. And I don’t miss do that job
You guys need to check out a Elho scorpio. Thats a improved haybuster.
Decades of farming on that land and yet the rocks still keep growing.
please stay safe guys without what you guys grow we can not eat
Great video. We don't see much of Randy on video but it is apparent he is.the buisness brains of the farm and doing a phenomenal job in the background calling all the shots. Great job Randy keeping it going in the right direction. Awesome Team.
Thanks for another great video Chet and crew.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Busy busy time getting ready to roll with the planters.
That old rock pile is still giving up rocks. You all are finally getting them picked up. Yeah!!!!!!!!
Believe you all are ready to plant the corn. Go get em Larsons Farms.
Like the way you load seed. Bets the old days of bags. Those were the days. Back breakers.
Thanks for everything. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
I’m watching this on a Tuesday afternoon. Good afternoon everybody from Saginaw, Michigan.

Those Case / IH tractors are really powerfull.
Congrats you guys. Have a great and safe season….God bless..
You guys do good work and put out good information. Cool video!👍❤️
The rock picker is interesting
Love seeing the close ups but I can say I truly find the drone shots so satisfying!
Surprised you’ve never demoed a new rock picker, the finish it leaves is great

3500 views in just the first 14th minutes. 😊 Feel the❤
P
Great go at the first field. Trust planting will go well this year.
They are almost.done. this video was a month ago.
It feel good to be back in the field. Can't wait for more
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET 😊
Another great show, my limited experience with farming was my dad sending me up packenham Ontario, on summer break. I helped my uncle Stan with various farm things. I learned a lot. Not so many rocks in that Canadian soil.. massy Ferguson was the tractor of choice.
Larson farms thank you for all the Awesome videos all year super cool should have your own tv show Discovery Channel thanks Awesome job every one
Great video guys. thank you
Love the videos keep up the great work and be safe on road and in the fields
Looks like the ground is working up perfectly.
It still amazes me that there wasn't any really big rocks under the ground from that rock pile. Your rocks are just so different to what we have around home.
Love it
Magnifique vidéo et le tracteur à chenille et le disque est bien 😮😅😊
That rock picker is cool. I’ve never seen one like that. I’d kind of like to have one
Awesome video! Love how you number them!
Gads I love the spring videos ....
That Halo look almost better than the 5200. Does like a bit of heavy right boot doesn't it! I am loving the Salford products, if I were over there I'd be looking to get something like them. Don't know if they are sold here in UK, don't think so, 'tis a pity, but there are some wonderful machines here to compare them with. Thanks for the visit, it was worth the effort in the long run. Hope everything goes to plan. I'll say no more, All the best from UK.
We sell channel seed on the farm I work at peddled a boat load of it this year good stuff north east Ohio we've been getting after it for week and a half now
209 channel is a tried and true performer. To bad this is the last year it’s available
Planting!! Send it!!
Hey guys,
Just a thought ..... put a 2 x 4 under the augers legs on the seed tender so they don't sink in as the auger gets heavy.
Good stuff guys
great video
Bluetooth binders on the skiddy. Perfect
Best implement for The $$$$$$!👍👍
Fine tuned machine,
Good luck for this planting season. Maybe Dougo won't get stuck or break his markers this year. Fingers crossed.
You do grow a nice crop of rocks over the winter.
I just started farming in the day this was posted
I want big swede to have the camera!!
Good luck. We are still wet here
You've got a good crop of sand apples!
those rocks might have been brought to you by glaciers from Canada. You should send them back.
The dually needs Larson Farms decals
The smell of fresh worked ground !! Mmm. Mmm
No better smell!
Excited for the planting season to start.
Did Merlin, Dougo and Randy make that pile of rocks that you cleaned up?
No. New land they are farming.
I think you guys should grow rocks because it looks like they really like your soil. lol. Thanks for the great videos!!!
Gentleman; START YOUR ENGINES! 👍🙏
You guys do an awesome job. I was wondering if you’ve ever seen a simpler way to (tear) down your seed hard boxes. We flip hundreds of them a year and was introduced to a better way. I could send a video if your interested. Way easier on your back. But this method works the best on concrete it’s hard surface.
My dad always said too bad it didn't work the opposite way..... Stones sink in the fields and work their way up in the driveway. Lol
It’s a lot easier to dump boxes over the top of seed tender.
This looks like farming to me
😎
Better to go at a slight angle to the rough ridges left by more aggressive tillage.
Yippie! Another keyboard expert.
👍
All those rocks you could almost start your own gravel pit !
👍🏼
I haven't seen this in Iowa...🤣🤣
Theres always new hybrids every year and you have to find the best seed that'll give you high yielding corn and beans.
we was lucky we didn't have rock on our farm but I was a clean up foreman on a pipeline and we had to work the ground with a particle 4 to 5 times and could not have a rock bigger than 5 inches we used rock picker bob cats with root rakes and by hand I had 25 labors picking rocks the last time with the bobcat with the racks hauling them off for dith stops in the pastures then they would spread the topsoil on
LMAo Kinda? farming. Chet? you ok buddy.. Dougo stop that boy from getting behind the wheel :)
Really great to see you guys on Sunday 😊😊!
Big stone county
I’d be really curious to see how a big articulated tractor on 1400 LSWs would match up to a quad track on your guys farm
Good to be back in the field probably seen enough old wedding photos.
You should design a bigger version of that 80s technology for the 600 quad trac that's about 30 feet wide........
try a particle you won't get clodes they work excellent
paratile works great
I don't think I've ever seen a field with that many rocks
Can you please post the link to your sunglasses?
All up how much do you crop
👍👍❤
I have a good black bean recipe.
Do a tool box tour
Ok you can stop now, us up by Alex can’t get in the field so you need to get rain to feel us
How many acres do u plant total have a great summer and fall my u harvest be large per acres god bless from Michigan
8000 ish.
Do you work your ground twice before planting?
No just once normally
I was just curious what kind of anhydrous machine they used I’ve never seen ruts like that from an anhydrous machine looks like they chiseled it in
Are you finished remodeling your house?
