I don’t have any fish but just enjoy your videos. I actually came here from Millikan fishing’s channel over a year ago and have enjoyed your videos sharing your hobby. Thank you Zac.
My first tank was a 10 gallon tank with 4 koi…. Now they’re in a 800 gallon pool pond in my basement and I’m up to 7 tanks 😅
👍👍👍
how long did 4 koi last in a 10 😆
@@429fishing_on_yt maybe a month, then went into a 75 then a 800 gallon pond they’re all 2 foot not
@@the1sdelung 👍
Smiley is adorable! Love the message that you give of every fish being special :)
I’m here for Zac’s level up! Can’t wait for my guy to start getting meal prep and huevos scaping sponsorships too!
I agree 👍with you I always say special fish is for special people. Definitely let us know how the fish is doing. Thanks for sharing the video.
When I was a child (around 7 or 8yrs old) my first tank was for crayfish. When I was 12yrs old I had cut other people's grass to save up to buy my friends 10gal setup with tropical fish. Then I gotten the idea to keep native fish instead of tropical fish.
Keeping native fish and having a reef setup has been my favorite aquarium setups
Shoutout to the workers at that petsmart for having an idea of what they doing love the goldfish sign.as
I grew up in South FL (in the 60's-70's) and had a canal running through our property... my first tank was a 10 gallon with whatever I could get out of the canal... I had a filter & a light but used canal water to fill it. There was a tropical fish farm not far from us and during the rainy season or big storm, their inground ponds would overflow with fish getting into the canals, roads etc.... I caught beautiful fish right out of the flooded streets!! Also turtles, crayfish, mudpuppies.......
Love to see the sponsors coming in and supporting you Mr Zac
First tank was at 6 and plain old gold fish tank and then got parrots then Oscar's and have a community of predator fish in a 4ft growing out until big enough for a 3m index pool .
I myself live in the west maple area! It's so awesome seeing someone from the local area on CZcams! I used to have several tanks, had to let them go due to space, but my wife and I are moving soon and ill be getting the basement or garage (whichever is bigger) for new tanks! Wish I could find you on Facebook to just chat every once in a while
My first tank was the 29gal combo... my mom bought for me for Christmas... i proceeded to put 2 small rock bass and a small bluegill in... those were my first fish..
That black and white spotted is a blue blushing Angel. They get big for an angel
Love your tanks, that I don't have to worry about. Thanks
Love API! Used them exclusively since I've gotten back into fish keeping
20 long with mollies and sword tails. Now I have a koi pond and a 20 long with mollies and platties for my son. 25 years apart. Kept Africans for awhile and will again once I can find a place to fit a 200 gal + tank.
3 gallon with day old bullhead catfish from the ditch, that is why I love bullheads. Also why I buy my fish as tiny as possible to watch them grow. Great video.
My first was a 100 Ltr with Fan Tail Guppies: man they can breed !
Love the Angel Tank! Nickname suggestion: Sly (it has a sly grin). API products rock! Thanks for showcasing them. Great video as always Zac!
Your with api now great stuff man love there products!
Very cool idea, Zac. Love the name Smiley, hope it thrives in your care (as I know it will). For friends, Cardinal tetras and some Corys. Have fun, and glad to see you experimenting with live plants!
Started with a Betta in a 5 gallon. I now have a fishroom with 28 aquariums. MTS is a real thing!!!
This is inspiring me to get another tank! Been fishless for the last 2 years, but may need to fix that before summer is over 😊
Adorable little derp mouth angel fish. 😊

My first fish a long time ago were goldfish and I still keep them to this day! Even started a CZcams channel about them.
Lovely
Hey, I'm a little late here, but you could always name him Joker due to the mouth almost being like a big side ways grin. First tank, 1.5 gallon hex tank for assorted tetras. Hope you and the growing family are doing well!
awesome tank
As its a small tank Zac how about some tetras, Cory cats, maybe a group of tiger barbs and danios so you have movement at all levels of the tank.
My first tank was a 10 with Glo fish and now I have a 125 with Oscars I love this hobby
My first tank was a crayfish in a 5 gallon. Now i feed crayfish to my huge pet smallmouth bass
Api is the only thing I use and been using it for years
"Oh that's Pudge, he's the cut-up." - Cpt. MURPHY
Love the videos bro keep it up and family and fish how can you go wrong
My first was a stream native tank with rainbow darters, log perch mosquito fish, and a few fathead minnows. Oh the old school days
Appreciate you buddy! That native stream tank sounds awesome! Rainbow darters are one hell of a fish to start out a hobby with! 😍
@@SCFishKeeping not a problem bub. And I enjoy the video's and how personable you are to the ppl who watch. Yea rainbows got a good little personality.🤙
I always use API and that angel fish is cool
My first tank was fire belly toads in a ten gallon
can you do an around the world update on every aquarium, pond, fish tank you have? I've been wanting to see the long ears for like a year lol
Aqueon makes a very small assorted cichlid pellet the size of baby pellets my African and south American cichlids love it
My first tank was a 20 gallon community tank, now I have 8 tanks and within the next year I plan on getting 3 more. I got my first tank a little more than a year ago
Technically, my first ever aquarium was one of those Aquababies cubes when they were a big thing. I had the fish first and then picked up a dwarf frog and he lived for like 8 years. The first tank I ever set up myself was a 5 gallon that I had a betta in. It just kind of grew from there. I had a 35 gallon for a while that housed a trio of red belly piranhas and then convict cichlids. Then I got curious about keeping native NA fish and now I have a 40 with 2 grass pickerel, a 125 with a warmouth, black bullhead, and walleye, and 625 gallon pond with a grass pickeral, 2 yellow perch, a rock bass, 2 redear sunfish, 1 bluegill, and 1 hybrid bluegill that somehow tripled in size in less than 2 months.
You got a video of the 625??
My current and first is a community razorback musk turtle with a pleco, three cichlids, a red tailed shark, and a blue gourami.
My first tank was a 20 gallon tank with a school of tiger barbs that I kept running until they passed now I have a 55 gallon cichlid tank that is planted and scaped along with 4 other tanks
Started with a betta jar lol. Now I keep cichlids and have a koi pond
I got my first tank in 1999, might be about 10 gallon, not sure anymore. But I was sure there was a blue/3 spot gourami with one spot barb and other fish I can't recall
My first was a 10 gallon with a fiddler crab some mollies and a powder blue gourami, now all I keep are big South American and asiatic predators 😅 plenty of water to go around 😂
A glass catfish tank would be cool
I went from a 5 gallon guppy tank to a 251 gallon pond with redtails I'll soon be getting a 1450 gallon pond and I cant forget my 29 gallon acara/angel fish tank
First tank was a 40 gal breeder with 4 oscars lol they were babies and I taught them how to eat food jumping out the water then to later on to trade the fish and tank for a 40 breeder reptile tank that my friend had
When are you going to set up the two massive tanks you got in Chicago?
My first was a 10 gallon with a betta
We have a yellow lab mbuna and his mouth is curled up like rocky balboa. We love em. Serious little man syndrome though. Lol
Add some long-fin panda corys and a super red bristlenose pleco.
Keep up the good work any up date on your son ?
Started with betta, then flowerhorn now.
I have axolotl, 5 fh, angelfish, goldfish and guppies xD.
😂 Funny how the hobby changes like that! Betta to Flowerhorn and Axolotls... very different fish haha. Thanks for sharing!
I would call him the "Mississippi side-sip."
Zack.... I don't know if I would call the fish smiley, there's no mouth to smile. My first tank was when I got out of the Marine Corps and I went to a garage sale and picked up a 10 gallon it took me 10 hours to figure out how to put it together that was 1986 and I never stopped I still have my pond in the backyard with the bluegill in the free largemouth bass that I'm now feeding them tilapia and shrimp
My first was a betta tank
When I was 5 years old I call Caught a Mud carp and put him in a 29 gallon in with my goldfish I love that fish him and Goldie got along well together he was The first fish I’ve ever caught it was only like 8 inches I had a bigger tank for him when he out grew the one he was in

My first tank was a 55 gallon community
I am new so can u plz help me? Do i use api tap water and api quick start at the same time or no? if not then how? please help
Edit: whats the difference between api stress coat and api tap water conditioner
I wonder if flatfish like halibut first evolved as a special-needs mutation that became adapted into a specialty body type.
My first fish tank was a 1 gallon spongebob tank with a betta fish
I had a little SpongeBob decor piece in that 29g at some point as well!
When are You going to set up the curved tanks?.
