Ffs, some of y'alls wanna act like some expert psychologists. If anything, what'll give them internalized trauma is ADULTS telling kids that THEY SHOULD FEEL traumatized because they cried over an app filter.
They'll grow up, and they'll get over it. Unless you don't let them. Like how some of y'alls think that getting spanked is the reason why you feel anxiety over mundane tasks even though there's likely 90 other more possible and relevant reasons why people can experience anxiety without clear reasons.

They don't understand that it is a phone filter you simpleton. You are projecting an adult's ability to reason unto a child. Most are babies. The oldest maybe 2 or 3 years old. Next we'll be watching a 2 year old's reaction to watching horror movies... what a blast!

The only "projecting" I see here are people, who bought into the idea of "internalized, implicit trauma" and are applying it to children, as if EVERY SINGLE NEGATIVE EMOTION OR EXPERIENCE RESULTS IN LIFELONG DYSFUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOR OR TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE
Yeah, spider filters may scare a kid. But by enforcing that fear, a kid will ALWAYS learn to fear them. No "trauma" necessary: it's simply "fear of spiders." However, you'd also find that people who were exposed to spiders (and even played with them), can handle spiders. That's the span of human adaptability. People who speak of trauma neglect this aspect of adaptability. This is why I consider them pop-psychology quacks who are better off finishing their associates degree in human services, rather than dabbling in counseling with half-baked GPA's in college general studies.

And I'm not going to any extremes here like you intimate. No need to go into in-depth ponderings on whether or not a child will be "scarred for life". I'm dealing with the here and now. What I am saying, is scaring your child to tears, while laughing, is traumatic for that child in the here and now (and these particular videos are far from the worst of them). Why would you want to do that? Why do you think that's OK? Giving a two year old some "tough love" and "real life lessons" is good parenting? They're far too young to comprehend any of that. All they know is they're terrified, shocked, and their parent is laughing. Toughening them up, preventing them from growing into "snowflakes"? Maybe you're the pop-psychology quack.

You should check all the “baby scared of toy” videos, and I kid you not, there is always the same handful of old ladies commenting the SAME THING “I don’t know why scaring a baby is funny?” They even troll foreign baby channels, that they don’t know the language of, just to say some rude parenting comment. It’s obnoxious.

I have some vivid memories from when I was a baby and worry if these kids will remember these experiences in a negative way. They’re just starting to understand the world and maybe filters are too much for some babies to process. We should study if it’s worth putting a warning label on them.

I think mostly it's nothing to worry about. The spider one is cruel imo, and I do feel some parents don't actually think about what they do with their child, and care more about blowing up on Tik Tok or Snapchat. It's depressing sometimes to think how many parents are not fit to be. But all we can do is focus on ourselves and stay away from those silly apps...
