hey bengal, have you ever thought about doing a rebuild with players you're really high on from previous drafts? (bonus points for players who arent main stream names). gives you a chance to talk about some players who could make it big and/or talk about players who for whatever reason just never made the transition successfully (like a dorial green beckham). just a thought :)

Yea he tried the cinematic universe thing. A lot of work trying to recreate generated players and they’re never the same because some of these guys in franchise series outplayed their stats

Hey Bengal, I am also on a streak of no dev trait upgrades in training but in sim CJ Stroud got a dev trait upgrade from star to superstar in the pro bowl week. It wasn’t an award or breakout I had checked for that.
did he make the pro bowl? in previous maddens i’ve had one or two dev upgrades for pro bowl appearances

@@PoolPartyPapi I certainly wouldn't tank and spend a first overall pick on a guy who painted "FUCK UTAH" on his fingernails and then proceeded to lose to Utah once again. That's just one example. Very immature thing to do and a huge red flag for the starting QUARTERBACK of a team, I wouldn't trust him to be the leader of an NFL locker room at this time. The talent is there but with character concerns I would prefer a QB prospect that might not be quite as talented but is unquestionably more mature and a better leader. He's an unbelievable college player, no doubt about that, but he's very overrated as an NFL prospect. The only Lincoln Riley QB to even meet, let alone exceed expectations in the NFL is Jalen Hurts, who only spent one season at Oklahoma and is mostly a product of a Nick Saban led Alabama team. Any team that deliberately tanks or especially trades up to get Williams is taking a MASSIVE risk.
I still think Caleb Williams is a talented prospect that deserves to be a top 20 pick but he absolutely needs to go to a team with coaching and veteran leadership to mentor him and help him grow into the role of a leader of men. Having a great arm isn't just everything, you need great leadership, work ethic, intelligence, and humility to go far as a starting QB in the NFL. Otherwise you'd end up like Jay Cutler, Baker Mayfield, or Kyler Murray. (Side Note: See how two of those guys were coached by Lincoln Riley? Along with Spencer Rattler's antics a few years ago? It seems to be a common theme with Riley, just saying.)
Given their reputation over the last several years I'm not sure if a team like the Broncos would be right for him. But going to an awful organization like the Cardinals, Bears, or Raiders would 100% be a death sentence. I hope Caleb Williams can mature and become a great QB within the next several years because it would suck to see talent wasted like that.

After that disappointing season my only conclusion was that the Broncos playback must suck for simming. I would have changed the playbook and potentially even the scheme after that shit season

The players that have the “true talent” higher are really hyped up by the awareness rating. You can have a great player with a talent of 3rd round but can be better than a 1st round player because there are more important ratings to have than awareness.
