Who raises the red and white flags at the long/triple jump pit? I noticed no one monitoring the jumps to see if they were valid or not and I wonder how this was being marked. Great jum0s by sone outstanding athletes.

Jumpers are so boring. Anyone can jump in a sandox or over a limbo bar 🤷♀️. Any NBA player would crush these chumps.
Anyone can throw a ball in a basket too. What makes sports exciting is the level at which the athletes perform these mundane tasks. And you do bring up a good point. Many of the best athletes in the US gravitate towards other more popular sports than track and field while many other countries prioritize soccer. However, as not everyone focuses on the same sport exclusively at a global level, the same could be said of any sport. NBA players as a whole, however, tend to be too tall to be elite field athletes. I suspect the world’s elite soccer clubs would contain the athletes most capable of taking on the current track and field jumping talent given enough years to learn the technique. Any major sport in the US likely contains a handful of athletes with great jumping potential as well…given enough practice. I hope this was the response you were gunning for; I just like to write so I figured I’d oblige.
