  • A common symptom or complaint from most patients we see with cervical dysstructure is difficulty breathing. This could be always feeling out of breath, difficulty taking a deep breath, feeling like something is stuck in the throat, air hunger, sleep apnea, or other breathing problems. In this video, Dr. Hauser discusses upper airway resistance syndrome. While this may not be the primary complaint that drives most patients to seek care, it is found to some degree in the majority of neck instability cases we treat. Fortunately, this is also a symptom that can typically resolve with treatment.
The Hauser Neck Center & Caring Medical Florida are located in Fort Myers, Florida in the US. We treat patients who travel to our center from all around the globe, however, please understand that we do not treat all cases. If you are looking for our team to review your case and possibly see you in our center, you can contact us through www.caringmedical.com, call us at 239-308-4773, or email info@caringmedical.com.

**DISCLAIMER: As with any medical treatment, no guarantees or claims of cures are made as to the extent of the response to treatment that every person experiences. Every therapy/treatment has patients who experience varying levels of success and failure. Results may not be the same from patient to patient, even with a similar diagnosis, as the body’s internal status is unique to each individual.

I have clicking/popping every single time I open my jaw/mouth. No matter what I do. Weather it’s eating something soft or cold, talking, or just showing a sign of surprise. I hate it. It’s been like that for so many years, as long as I can remember actually.

I'm always getting episodes of shortness of breath and I constantly feel a popping sensation in the front of my throat. I've had it for at least 2 years now but it's getting more consistent. Australia needs our own Dr Hauser! 😔

You can also confirm this if you have more energy after exercise because increased breathing during exercise increases oxygen too.

Interesting! I have dull pain and constant pressure in the throat region with some heavy feeling or uncomfortable swallowing issues among other things.
When I turn my head to the left/right with some effort, something in the front of my throat clicks or changes position almost every time, so I wonder if an (possible) instability has gotten worse or if it’s pushing the structures in my thoat forward or sideways and compressing something like nerves or even veins.
I’ve had the main problem for a few years now. My blood pressure is also increasing, and I’m not overweight, rather loosing weight on keto.
It’s hard to keep my head strait both physically and emotionally and my submandibular feels full, so I’ve developed a double chin 😅 this just adds up!
ENT and physiotherapists blame it on tense throat muscles or tell me that the clicking is normal. They have been clear they can’t be of any help and say everything looks normal.

This is like if I was the lady talking to Dr Houser - I have all the symptoms mentioned and more. I diagnosed myself with CCI years ago, all my problems started after a very heavy fall and full whiplash back and full forward. I diagnosed myself with CSF leak, too but no medical professional wanted to refer me to have the discharge from my nose tested for a CSF leak, untill last October and less than two months later I had an operation to patch up the hole in the dura. Unfortunately, my symptoms are not better, still some salty discharge... It is a pity I am not in the US, as I would be visiting Dr House years ago.
Anybody knows of a similarly open-minded, knowledgeable doctor in the UK?

This is great stuff but I can't get considered for treatment because nuse Joe Cukla is blocking access. Dr. Hauser please read my emails. My CRP levels are high, because of this Joe is completely blocking my ability to contact you for treatment options.

The reason surgeries are first choice is that the neurological surgeons convince the patient it’s the only option so they can continue to practice their cutting techniques. It’s disgraceful!

I've been told that Empty Nose Syndrome is due to damage to the turbinates. I've also been told there is no such thing as ENS and it's all psychological. Geez, it is real. 4 years I've been miserable since a surgery gone wrong. Every breath thru my nose is painful. Every breath. My throat is sore, but it's because of how I breath thru my nose. I can pull plenty of air down into my lungs via my mouth, it's when it goes via my nose.
