And Simone.. she’s not from this planet.
I was at this gig. It was one of the best Epica gigs I've been to (seen them about 20-25 times to date). I went with a friend and neither of us had been to Amsterdam before. The entire weekend was an experience to remember.
Epica formed as Sahara Dust in 2002 after Mark Jansen was kicked off from After Forever before a tour to their album Decipher...
"Trois Vierge" duo with Roy stole the show definitely!
A little insider tip for Simone fans - at least I think it's an insider tip, because I haven't seen a reaction video for the song yet. Last year, Simone worked with her husband on a rock musical project from her region in Germany and contributed a song to it. She sings in German, but there are English subtitles. So if you want to be the first, I recommend "Die schwarze Mühle - Gesang der Schwäne" (in englisch "The Black Mill - Song of the Swans").

I had the same feelings when I discovered them in 2017 and went to a festival where they played, Leyendas del Rock, then I went to a show of them a couple of months later and nothing stop me to go wherever I can…
This concert I saw it in the cinema in Tillburg as an activity in the weekend of their 20th anniversary, the day after was the show, amazing too!! I a huge fan from 2017 but always mad with me for not discover them before…
This year a dream will come true when I’ll see Epica live with ochestra and choir… you have to be there too…🤘🏻🤘🏻

The best growls from Mark on this show.. to me this guy is my favorite growler in all Death Metal scene ... On track Crystal mountain those vocals are typical 90's Black Metal ...
“crystal mountain” is a death metal classic, as it is a cover of the band Death, which is considered the founders of the genre. At this concert, Mark no longer goes into growling, but into Black metal vocals or shriek vocals and to be honest, I would like a little less of such vocals and more growling from him 😁
