It's been a while. I didn't try to go dormant for the past few months, but life has its ways to get to you. All that matters is that I've managed to do something after this long and that's the hardest part.
This video has ultimately been in the making for about 4 years now. It was one of the first video ideas I ever wanted to do, but I didn't believe in myself at the time because I didn't have the experience as a creator to pull it off. Fast forward to now, after a multitude of delays and getting through a failed collab, this video is finally ready for the world to see. I hope I did well enough to get what I wanted across; I feel that I did.

I don't own any of the clips and I do not hold the rights for the series within the videos. All rights are reserved for the copyright owners. The only things I personally created were the script and thumbnails used for the video. - Zábava
Yay more Vel content!
Not enough people focus on the story. I can forgive a good story for having 'bad' CGi unless it just done so badly that it is a pain to watch. Even that could sometimes be used to the director's advanage. Doubt it is, just a personal idea I have that someone could try to pull off.
I really wish most people could look past the looks of something to watch a lesser talked about or more commonly despised anime. CGI animes deserve more.
very good video, btw have you seen land of the lustrous anime? It is also a cgi anime but not full cgi
Weirdly enough, I haven't yet. I really should watch it.
I want anime when I watch anime. Not a fan film using Unreal Engine renders nor do I want a gameplay cutscene.
Then stay away from media in general because what you want isn't anime. People like you don't deserve to even have eyes.
@@Velarix A rather hostile reaction to a difference of opinion. Wouldn't you say?
@@alexbauer502 You left a rather pointless comment to begin with. Look over your life. It's not a difference of opinion when the very thing you posted to begin with was objectively wrong; that wasn't an opinion.
@@Velarix Oh, my. It's all crystal clear now. I am a fool. Others figured it out ahead of me. No use wasting my time.
@@alexbauer502 Of course you're wasting your time. You think that CGI can't be anime when anything in animation is anime, no exceptions. Get your ignorant ass out of here.
You just gave examples of good/bad CGIs but you didn’t explain what it is. So let me ask you, what is CGI?
I explained it pretty thoroughly in the video. If you didn't get it you should probably pay better attention to the things you watch.
This is probably the fairest argument I've seen for reasons using CGI in anime.
An anime that comes to mind that knows how to use CGI is Girls und Panzer, it's mostly during the fight scenes.
I was listening till the "gibiate has good models" part. everything abt those models is awful from design to textures. amateurs work
You really don't understand CGI. The modelwork for them was good; the problem was solely with lighting. Their modeling was on par with current gen games during the time that it was airing.
@@Velarix 3:03 in what fucking world would a professional designer model symmetrical teeth 😭 if you check out any reference of monsters or wild animals not a single one of them has symmetrical teeth. this is nothing but a rookie mistake. also I agree that lighting has a bit of an involvement in making these abhorrent models look worse but the textures push that further imo. if kaiman from dorohedoro has a realistic scutes texture ( like how gibiates monsters have realistic skin textures) he would look awful so it's really a matter of stylizing the textures to fit the anime aesthetic in general.
@@drakelans8821 I really don't see why their teeth matters to you, especially when the monsters aren't trying to be realistic. I don't understand how you even try to get that they're trying to be realistic with the textures either. The textures in Gibiate are fine. The only problem with Gibiate is solely the lighting on those models and that's it.
Nah one cgi anime gives me nightmare and ruined cgi for me I can't remember the name
