love the Böker Barlows, class leading in price for quality. I have 4 of these Böker Barlows, two with integral copper ... great gentleman knives ! I have some GEC here and several Böker, I consider Böker to be even superior to GEC, cheers

I got the one in yellow bone, I was very disappointed in the amount of knife for the money, but it is a very fine and well made Barlow.
It's a small knife. More of a dress-carry instead of a main EDC. Although I could be wrong.

I just don't think Boker is a good value for what you get, their price increases seem to out pace other brands.
I have to disagree. They aren't any higher than the average GEC or such. Besides, you can actually find them.
I just went to a presentation for their new line up and was very suprised about how good their prices still are (because everybody else is increasing prices significantly this year).
It's a nice looking knife, but far from perfect and it's wildly overpriced, as is typical of Boker's entire Solingen line. That "bit of a curvature" is because the blade grind is poor. It's also why it has that nasty recurve at the sharpening choil and why it appears off center in the blade well. More material was removed from one side of the blade than the other, gouging it out at the plunge and pushing the centerline to the mark side. You can see it when you flip it over by how the edge grind lines up with the kick.
The design is great, but in all honesty Rough Ryder Reserves stomp all over Solingen Bokers and for far less cost. I hate saying that, but it's true. It's also true that the standard Rough Ryders are stomping all over Case.
I see your reasoning, truly, I do. But Böker's Solingen line is on par with RRR, if not better, from my experience. I have others that are very comparable with GEC.

SAK can fit anybody's budget wether you're rich or poor and if you loose it no big deal
To each his own, I suppose. Although for me, I'd carry one of these anyday over a SAK. Not because one is "better" than the other, but because the Barlow fits my desire for a classy carry piece with a certain degree of luxe.
I'm not saying Swiss Army Knives are bad, by any means, but they don't have the class of a Böker Barlow. Different knives, different roles.

@@TheKnifeRaven Nein,Nein,Nein 😂 I understand you like Posh and Lux because you weren’t born in Highlands of Bosnia 🇧🇦 and for us to have SAK was top of the line if you were lucky to obtain one,if that one Barlow is $200 that’s half month salary in Bosnia 🇧🇦,mostly we value German made knives and products..To summarize,,don’t really care about Barlows…Buck 110 is the Best Western folding knife…

These are knives that have served every league of people for decades. The quality on them is admirable, particularly for their prices. I just tend to be a little more...pretentious. Whether or not that's a good thing? I don't know. 🤔
