It doesn't look very realistic at all! I bought a Red Stone and it looks far more realistic, and I added some candy red & Yellow to the chrome element and a low watt LED bulb and now it looks like real flames. I luv the thing for warming my feet and being that when I was a kid I often slept in front of a fireplace or wood heater and so this feels right at home for me and makes me happy inside! Liked the Red Stone heater so much I bought a second one!

I agree, this model looks fake. The logs don't look authentic, plus the black frame looks plastic. The different flame colours don't help either.
