Debby Hunker from Doodabug has press plates. I have had them for years. Canadian pricing.
Thank you!
I bought my press plates here. Has a really thick cutting mat to prevent dulling of the cutters.
I have the same set of cutters from Amazon and works great. My press is not the Kam Snap brand just
An inexpensive one and fits it.

Love this bag! Thanks for showing us the hack.
Absolutely Gorgeous!
I looked at the new pattern called Berlyn. And thought…I’ve seen this somewhere else. And here it is. The Berlyn is too small for me so I might make modifications to this bag in the top area to look like the Berlyn.
Ha quedado preciosa, gracias ❤😘🌹
Wow, cannot wait to try this one. Can you advise your thread and needle sizes pls. great topstitching. What I would do to have a machine like that
Gail, I use a tex 70 thread and a size 18 needle.
The video looks great, the microphone sounds fantastic & the bag is Wow!! Thank u so much, U are truly amazing 👏 If I may, what size Needle were u using in making this bag? The stitches look amazing
Thank you! I use a size 18 needle. That is my standard and I very rarely change it.
Thank u for sharing. I use 19 but I'm going to tried an 18 & a 19 in thicker areas is necessary
Thank you so much love your teaching keep up the good works. What size needle are you using?
Thank you! I am using a size 18. I very rarely change it. Happy sewing😀😀
Another great upscaled bag conversion! Thank you for all your efforts. I think Debbie Hunker of Doodabug sells press plates as well. I noticed your metal name tag; any suggestions for purchasing name tags
from vendors in the US or Canada?
Hi Janet, thank you for watching! I will check Doodabug's site, I have yet been able to purchase press plates so thank you for that tip.
I search and search for US or Canada supplies for metal tags and I just can't find any. No one makes them that I can see. The Etsy shop I use is based in the US, but the product comes from China so in the end.............it is still not US or Canada made.
Would you mind sharing the name of the site you use for your metal tags. You use and create high quality products so your recommendation will be very much appreciated. Thanks for what you do.
Sure, It is called Metal Things Art, here is a link www.etsy.com/shop/MetalThingsArt
Thanks, Chris. I’ll check them out.
What size punch did you use for the holes on the front? Sorry if you said and i missed it... i will need to purchase a punch set and want to make sure it has the size needed
Thank you
It was the 7/8 size. I would have liked to use one that was slightly over 1” so I could go wider with the straps. If you can find one, that would be the ticket I think.
also, where could I order the piece for cutting out the oval? Thanks so much
Yes, you can order a kit off Amazon that has several shapes and sizes. Here is a link www.amazon.com/Hollow-Cutter-Leather-Cutting-Handmade/dp/B08T94ZLXM/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3ACS6RR5U4TS8&keywords=shape+cutting+kit&qid=1659646395&sprefix=shape+cutting+kit%2Caps%2C82&sr=8-2
What is the color of the vinyl you got from bodeeoh? I've been looking for an olive green everywhere! I taught school for over 20 years and we always said practice makes permanent 😁
It is called Olive Khaki Faux Leather. I am not sure if they still have it, I bought it a while ago.
@@simplyclassic thank you, I will check and see if they have it or will get any more! 💙
