- Here's a detailed review of the new portable carpenter's vise from Harbor Freight Tools. It's super handy for my rolling work table & saves the hassle of busting out C-clamps all the time! Thank you for watching \m/

I work on bicycles as a hobby. Now that I’ve seen your video I’m going to buy this vise for my workbench so I can mount bicycle wheels upright & remove axles & bearings and then re-grease them.
Cool idea! Yeah it’s a nice little nice.
Great video. You can never have too many vices
It’s true. Thing is awesome.
Thanks man!
Thank you for watching 🇺🇸🤘
Looks like you got a "hold on things" :-))

Picked one up today. They lowered the price now to $19.99.
Oh cool. It’s a handy little guy.
@@jimmysgarage9068 I retuned it. It was defective. It only clamped on the right side. Picked another one with 30% off for ITC members and just paid $13 and some change. Took it home, tested it and it's perfect. I like the portability of that little guy. 👊
@@jerichoarroyo105 Nice move! Are you going to put some wood slats on the grippers? Thats my plan - if I eventually get to it.
@@jimmysgarage9068 Yes indeed I will. I took a video of the one I returned showing how it only clamps on one side. I wanted to show it to the Harbor Freight staff. I never did show it to them though. I might upload it on my other account. Not sure.
do you think this could hold up to a lot of torque like tightening up a nut while its clamped to a table but not screwed down on it?
Not as well as a big vise. It’ll be good for smaller applications. Thank you for watching 🇺🇸🤘
I have a few vices of my own
Don’t we all?
🍻🧐👍🏽

Portable guy.
It’s good to be portable 🇺🇸🤘
Good enough for AR15 builds. The music at the end was no bueno
Thank you for watching and thanks for the feedback. 🇺🇸🤘
Trustworthy for torqueing down an barrel nut 65 ft-lb for an AR9?
i just asked that question too lol so is it safe to say it could hold upwards of 100 pounds of torque for those overzealous brands that go a little to ham on their barrel nuts? i really like the small footprint of this vise but I want to make sure it can hold up to that kind of abuse.
@@musek5048 I bolted it down into the desk as a precaution but it worked for 67 ft-lb. I'm 80% sure it would do fine without being bolted down.
