I'm not claiming anything but it is interesting how Albanians dance just like this in weddings. Love for Greeks, I think Greeks and Albanians actually are the same, just religion that divided us.

@@zonxo First and foremost, I don't think anyone realized that you have a profile photo of a famous pornstar..lol. Secondly, the Albanians have a very big history in the Balkans, just as much as the Greeks. We are if not the oldest tribe in the Balkans itself. Our bloodlines are the cleanest amongst our neighbors. Unfortunately, though, we have been stepped over and betrayed by not only our neighbors (Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece, and Turkey) but even our own people went against each other in the name of our neighbors. We've had spy's that worked for our neighbors, we've had our own people hate on each other for hundreds and hundreds of years. It has made us, till this very day, very tribal. We're not a unified nation. Yes, we have an identity now and a "nation" Albania but it isn't enough. Albania is an English name that has become an international identity for us. The name has no meaning in Albanian. We Albanians refer to one another as "Shqipetar or Shqiptar" and to our country as "Shqiperia or Shqipnia", which is like night and day to the English name. Our nation has a lot of history that the Vatican has locked up, but doesn't wish to put it out for the public to know. Our history is richer than Italy's itself! I say that with no intention of malice or political stupidity. Our history has been burned from international history, in terms of what is on paper, because of neighboring nations that have invaded our nation and controlled our people and history. We have never been left alone, but we never backed down. Could you imagine, the Romans had a piece of us, the Greeks, Turks, Serbs, Macedonians.. But I, a direct descendant of a clean line of Albanians is still here today speaking fluent modern-day Albanian. It's crazy, isn't it? I love the history of Albania because we were always warriors from day one! We never backed down for no one. We defended our nation and people to the last man. We are known by many neighboring nations for being loyal, honest, handsome and most of all elite warriors. We were admired so much by the Greeks and Turks. The Sultan himself used Albanian elite warriors to guard him. The Greeks loved the way we carried ourselves, the costumes we had, the language we spoke, the culture and traditions. We lived side by side like brothers. But stupid greed split us apart. It is greed that made us hate one another. The Greeks mostly had more greed than the Albanians and decided they would take away Epirus from us. Half of Albania never belonged to the Greeks. The Greeks only lived with the Albanians there, because you migrated from Greece up north. Greeks were loyal at times but when they saw a chance to grow and steal, they turned into barbarians and even killed those who were hospitable to them. You never spit on the hand that feeds you. And Greece did that to the Albanians. We never had an army. Us poor Albanians never went to war with anyone. We only helped our neighboring nations when they were in conflicts. We were there for the Serbs, to fight the Turks, we were there for the Greeks to fight the Turks. Unfortunately, because the Albanians took sides with the neighbors, we often found ourselves fighting each other. When you had Albanians fighting for Greece in 1821, you had Albanians also fighting for Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. This had Albanians going against each other and Turks going against Greeks. It was all a mess. Then you have Greeks today who say, "we took sides with the Turks", I mean we did partially.. We took sides with you too! The Souliotes, they were of Albanian descent. They fought for you and are known as national heroes. Most of which were Arvanites. Arvanites are Albanian too. They are assimilated today, but still speak the Albanian language in a different dialect, more like a Greek dialect. There's so much real history untold by the Greeks. They need to get the truth out because it's not fair. We were there for everyone in the Balkans, where are they now? If it wasn't for USA today, Albania, Kosovo, everything would be in ruins. We were and are still betrayed badly. USA isn't an angel either, but I'm thankful for what they have done, at least for my people. We are now FINALLY, prospering. I only speak the truth. I hate to speak ill of another nation if it is not the truth.. But sometimes the truth may hurt. Look, to be honest with you.. I really want to see peace and harmony in the Balkans. Until the day where we can be honest with one another and drop all that hate, we can't move forward. I would love to see the day where we all get along and respect one another. We all have a beautiful history and unique things about us. Yes we all have had our ups and downs, but in the bigger picture we are so powerful in Balkans. We can form our own continent if we wanted to. Not suggesting it lol. Anywho, take care! -A hate-free Albanian, living in USA.
