Just get stocked up on foods that you can cook easily.
And that you can put together quickly if your in a rush, it works for me ^~*
I think my biggest tip as an incoming junior would be: don’t feel obligated to go to parties, especially frat parties. I have only gone to one, and I felt very uncomfortable while I was there. I’ve found that I much prefer going to a friend’s off-campus apartment with a few other friends and drinking there. Find what you enjoy, and don’t feel weird or stupid for going against the grain.

Abigail Wallace When I start attending University I will probably not go to parties it is just not my scene I would prefer stay at home and read a book or what a new series or animes or Asian Dramas than party but if it’s a once in a while get together off-campus with friends that would be totally cool to just drink and spend the night that’s it but once in a while I mean someone can not just not enjoy themselves a little bit

As a former student and current professor, I agree with everything you said! The way you approach your classes and communication with your professors is important! We often have some flexibility with grading and your attitude and professionalism can make a big difference to your grade. The worst thing you can do is sip class and then ask the professor if you missed anything important...

Also, take advantage of video lectures!!! As soon as class ends and you sit & review your notes, rewatch the lecture in your free time and correct/add to the notes you took for that day. This makes sure you didn’t miss anything important and you have everything down. :)

nadine jetkowski well I think making friends is easy but question is it necessary to join a sorority cause like I am from the Cayman Islands or rather the Caribbean and sororities aren’t really Caribbean style I mean like to like Americans Sororities are legendary and by family sometimes can you please explain how a sorority works I don’t think in the Caribbean at the Universities we have any sororities
margo, i took your advice on getting a job in my college town at a boutique. i asked them about if i could run there social media department. i am proud to say that the manager of the boutique is interested in me and is getting back to me! thank you for being such a girl boss and inspiring me!!💗💗💗
High school class of 2020! I'm starting applications in a few weeks and when that starts giving me anxiety, i start watching college tips videos, taking notes, to feel a little better/better prepared. Your list is one of the most detailed and helpful ones I've ever watched! Thank you for making it!

The current events tip is SO important!! I was so involved with current events in my history classes in high school and fell out of it my first year of college and I feel so uneducated. It's really important to stay updated especially because in college you're an adult/voting age!!
Natalie Briggs wait if you aren’t a citizen of that country and you are like on a student permit or whatnot can you still take part in state or governmental elections or you are talking about elections within the school’s campus grounds
@@seph6012 I was talking about staying informed for the purpose of voting for government but it's important for reasons beyond that too! also school elections are important for students too, I just voted in mine this semester for the first time and I can't believe I didn't do it sooner

Me too!! I’m transferring to Cal in 4 days 😬 I have healthy eating habits now but I’m afraid living in the big university environment will completely derail all the good habits I’ve developed over the summer.
The freshman 15 comes mostly from eating out and drinking alcohol. If you plan on going out and partying, the best thing to do is eat healthier during the week and start a workout routine. A little weight gain is totally healthy and okay, but if you want to maintain the weight you are Id suggest creating a workout routine! 😊
Love your advice to stay up to date on current events bc it’s so true that classes will bring up topics and you will need to discuss the current events! Love this video Margot 💕
this vid was so helpful! a lot of these college advice videos are very repetitive but a lot of your tips were very unique and new to me. i leave for college in 2 weeks and i can't wait! also please do a vid on staying in healthy in college like you mentioned it would be a big help bc it's a big concern of mine!

Stephanie Cook I would watch it but I am pretty sure I wouldn’t need it cause some how no matter how much I eat I can’t gain weight I have a good metabolism which is way too good if you ask me I am really not into food that much so I am pretty sure I wouldn’t gain weight although I would love to I am basically 16 in September and my 7 years old cousin’s clothes can fit me like the heck we are 9 years apart and nothing. I think I need to go to the doctor but then my grandma said it was because I am half Indian my dad’s side of family are all quite small so I guess it’s genetic and with my mum being small as well ahhh it can’t get any better

Completely agree on the last point! - get out from the college bubble once in a while. College can be so overwhelming and can be quite dramatic if you let your emotions get in control of you! Yes, go out and be reminded there is much more things that are happening outside of college that you shouldn’t be too immersed in college life to miss out on other things. Remember those who love you back at home! Balance is key and just enjoy life! love the video xx

MARGOT I love this video. I'm a second year student and I agree with everything you said, especially that you should get a part-time job because you learn so much - it's good for your CV to show you've had some kind of work experience, helps with networking and can improve your people skills. And also, other advice for uni is to try and participate in as many things as you can/go to events that are associated with your campus (obviously prioritize with your school work) to meet new people and make new friends.

Definitely a good idea to write down what you need to do as soon as you think about it! It's always a good idea to even just have a small notebook to jot down items to remember in case you need to enter anything in a digital calendar too :D Great tips!
