What is this?
"Terrible Take." is a series by Budda Park that mostly focuses on a personal analysis of music. Judging its feel, vibe, and style but also more technical aspects like harmony, melody, and theme (however this is muddied due to average TT episode time). In general, this is for fun and I am in no way a master at music but I am human so I am a part of it. A rating system is done at the very end from 0/10 being considered the worst to 10/10 "Play it at my funeral" or multiple listens a day. Nah shes amazing. This song is very jazz so even the “doodoo” part right before the belting part all makes sense. But id highly recommend watching the most viewed performance of a specific song, its usually gonna be her best. Or better yet just search up “lana del rey best live vocals” and watch the most viewed video

This one is cute but her performance of Million Dollar man at Eurockéennes 2012 (White dress, white headband) is her at her BEST. Idk how she did it but she was perfectly able to balance that emotional awkwardness with a powerful vocal performance, and I think it's the most viewed one of that song. If it still doesn't click she might not be for you, but idk I'm not rlly ready to give up on you, she really creeps up on you and when you fall, you fall hard for mother. 😍

Tbh i honestly really really really love this and think it's amazing, I think u have to understand this style of singing to enjoy it, like the parts that u didn't enjoy alot where my favorite parts haha, but we all like different things and have our own opinions and that's okay. she did force some vocals but that's also what makes it fun sometimes in my opinion, she forces the deep voice too. I love the fact that she doesn't give a fuck what people think and sings the way she wants, even though people made fun of the way she was singing during this time and earlier she kept doing it, now she doesn't like it anymore so she doesn't do it. Also she never called herself "cringe" haha, just poked fun at how she used to sing 🥰 loved the reaction btw!

Edit: Lana mentioned that this might was really hard for her .. i believe she learned of someone's death before this show or something similar .. i couldn't even imagine going through with having a performance after hearing such difficult news, ya know ? ❤
