  • This video is dedicated to my table tennis coach, Yvan Dagenais, who passed away suddenly the day I posted this video. He will be missed.
I saw a documentary called “The Tables” about people playing ping-pong in Bryant park in New York City and since that moment I’ve wanted to go and play, and be accepted into the group! It was a great experience that I’ll never forget. Thank you to all the people I met and played for being so welcoming and fun!

This doc really portrayed what a ping-pong club can do for people. It's similar to my experience when I joined a ping-pong club in Buffalo after moving there alone!

Nice video! We also play here in Rosemont, Montreal, on outdoor concrete tables, even in the winter! (we just shovel the snow and play). We have the same kind of community, with people from all walks of life.

I like outdoor table tennis because it is chill and not that lions in clubs arrogant and wanting always to show who is the strongest. I only play outdoor and indoor only in Japan in a club for retirement people ( I am old , 40, but every Japanese in that club is above 60).

Great place to destroy 600-800 rated players lol nothing to brag about, this reminds me of Kramer beating kids in karate and telling people about it. Try playing at an actual table tennis club with 2000+ rated players and then post a video of you beating everyone. If you would change the title to maybe "Playing at NYC Ping Pong Park" I wouldn't be such an ass. Your 1100 rated skills aren't awful but you need to learn the mechanics of strokes and then beat higher rated people before you can brag . Showing people something you're ok at and then beating really low level people at it, then posting a video causes cringe in people who are better players.
