Hi Tom, I have to say the modern phobia of timings to the minute are ludicrous and put unwanted pressure on drivers. At least in the years gone by, if coffee was needed or a comfort break you stopped. Thankfully we did not have Telematics/ tracking etc.

The birds on the haul Road at Sibelco Godstone are Green Woodpeckers,was in there this morning and there were 4 stood in the road.Theres deer,foxes,Badgers... I'm in there most days,hope to catch you one day and say hello. Stay safe.
Oooh so it is, that explains why I was struggling to find it, not all of them have a yellow back 😁
My old man did mostly tippers for 55yrs based out the South West, grandfathered licence. Back in the early days, he was tramping in a DAF, no bed, slept in the drivers seat, me as a kid, sleeping in the passenger.
I think things back then were harder job wise, eg, I remember flatbeds of bagged animal feed, unloading by hand on small farms with no forks, 3tonne here, 5tonne there , 1 tonne here etc.
yet simpler. Nobody watching your every move, or ringing up, truck stops and empty laybys everywhere and we could come out of Avonmouth with no hours on the tacho, he do a flyer home knowing if caught, the boss would pay the fine.
Screw fit connectors for hydraulic lines should have ‘lockTight’ applied. These fitters are simply generating work by not doing the job right first time.
Horses roll in sand & get metal in eye. Not good.

Great video as usual 👍 You should buy yourself a 24v kettle, you’ll save a fortune on buying those coffees. I bought one a few months back, it’s great, boils in about 5-10 mins. Make a coffee with it, then pour the rest of the hot water into a flask for later, happy days 😄 ☕️
I have a kettle and gas stove...love coffee also

You can't beat DVSA to jump on your case, when you least expect it ..... worse with the digital tacho now..... it is like a teachers pet now, it will tell on you for good measure 😬 ..... think I will stick to driving my 15 T rigid around on blue lights (no tacho required) 🤫😁
Did you get the hydraulic leak looked at, you could have had it looked at on Friday afternoon!!
Sat navs are no good for me, they never seem to get the route planned in time for us turning out 🤷♂️ when they do, it always wants to send you to a different job we have already been to.....

Well its not a U-boat, it does try to dig underground but struggles to fully burry its self
