3:45 over 20 bears! I've seen nearly 30 a few times with lots of coming and going. I think when it gets this crowded they shy away from parking it and just fishing. It's gets more territorial with competition and fighting starts. Keep watching, this is way better than pop culture channels.

In the few years I’ve been watching, never seen so many bears at the falls at once! Does this mean there isn’t enough food this year? There also seems to be more competition. I am worried there are hungry bears without enough to eat. 😭
They are fine. There are dead salmon floating everywhere. Everyone its well fed. My theory is the water level might be higher down below.
It’s been a very odd year. The salmon didn’t arrive in force until weeks past their usual date, and then arrived in waves, so the bears have been extremely hungry and have had to fight much, much more than in past years for fishing spots. Plus the water is unusually deep, making things even more difficult for them. At least one regular (Lefty) left in search of better fishing grounds sometime after July 7.

The cameras are attached to the viewing platforms. The bears can reach a couple (Falls Low & the underwater cam) they just don't really care about them. Cant eat a live cam.

What is the most likely thing to happen if I come barging down in a canoe and kayak and just leap the falls right there in the middle of them?
Its basically king of the hill and theres one objective: survive
We never see a salmon that makes it all the way up the falls! Even if there isn't a bear waiting, I've never seen one make it and swim away! (Of course, they must but I wish someone would film it!)
