𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗼𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗺 (@𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱𝗕𝘆𝗞𝗼𝗯𝘆) - Inspiration: The events in this film are loosely based on an occurrence in my local barbershop in Plumstead. The story is heightened for dramatic purposes however that was the foundation of the short film. I used this film as a mechanism to explore the nuances of a south London barber shop and the types of people who come in and out of it every day. The story arc follows a man who has reformed his life and tries to keep his skeletons in his cupboard until one occurrence makes them all spill out. This is a universal position to be in which I feel a lot of people can connect with.

So the Prince of Peckham now has his own barbershop. He used to be a hustler on CH4 sitcom Desmonds, based in a Caribbean owned barbershop, with a Nigerian man usually banging out his old African sayings 😂🤣😂
despite 'haircut' being such a short film it really portrayed what London is really about, with the violent youngsters to the elderly hair cutters. I liked the meaning behind the film and how situations can get completely turned upside down from a nice calming scene to a hugely exhilarating atmosphere. Even with the short film only being 15 minutes and 7 second long I felt many emotions. by the end I was wanting more and more . the main character and his encounter with a local drug runner brings up uncomfortable truths about his past and makes him reconsider his importance in the community really shows how you dont know what goes on in people lives I liked the switch from many other short films with gang violence to this certain short film with only one drilla In all i would rate this exhilarating film a kind 9/10

I can't begin to explain how I'm loving this channel the only negative I have is although they are short films I wish they were longer got me hanging on tender hooks wanting to know what happens next the whole team is awesome at the story telling filming and the actors wow I think I'm addicted and I don't care keep up the extraordinary work all now to binge on some more 💥

I can't believe that you've got Robbie Gee from Desmond's in this short film, I've been watching Desmond's for ages and to see him now, he hasn't changed a bit (well, he has but I'm sure you get where I am coming from). One of the best actors, I was gobsmacked to see him on-screen again. This almost had my waterworks overflowing. Well done for yet another fantastic production and to the actors/team.
That was gripping, but the ending? What was the point/lesson/moral. I missed it. Was the fact that Robbie past had consequences that surfaced years later, even though he has left all that behind?
