A bitter sweet day, as a humble man like this deserves to win. But see where we have come since the glory days of mike Ike flipping baitcasters, making fishing look stylish and catching hogs, to 2024 where they are looking at computer screens to find fish and using spinning gear.
Mike its the deepest, clearest lake in the state of Alabama in the middle of the summer. People would be fishing deeper and more offshore at this lake either way.
@Bassmasterofficial This ain’t the jetsons and never will be get rid of the cpu screens. This guy would have won either way. But it’s everything bass fishing is against to have the guys staring at the screen to try and be competitive. I just caught 25 yesterday on a green pumpkin chatterbait with a baitcaster in the middle of the lake, I know all about where they would be. The style of fishing has changed and got lazy due to this technology. The style and flash is gone.
You people are actually what's wrong with sport. Get out of the way and let the new generation grow the sport bigger than it ever has been, numbers don't lie. Unfortunately someone taught you old farts how to use a computer now you feel the need to regurgitate the same comments on every post. You are in the minority stfu and get over it already.

@BassmasterOfficial if you are a working man watching and you see a guy catch them like that with over $30k in electronics on his boat how am I supposed to relate to that? Saying they would be fishing the same way even without it doesn't matter to the viewing public because they just watched dudes looking down at a screen all day with gear more expensive than they can afford and it's not relatable at all.

Bass Master, please consider more closely regulating the use of technology such as FFS. I'm not saying you have to ban FFS or anything else, but just think about the experience of viewers and fans of the sport. Maybe most people are enjoying watching other people look down at screens in the middle of a lake for hours on end, but I'd wager that most don't.
If they don't need a net to land a fish, maybe they don't need other advanced technology to land fish either.
Just my two cents. I'm not mad at anyone, just voicing an opinion.
Not taking anything away from the anglers. They are doing what they have to do to compete. I would use FFS too, and anything else within the rules, to try to win.
