In that moment when he sings he allows himself to be Skylar. He is not acting. It is the last last time playing that role, singing that song, and its real :))
Is it weird that i love the fact that Skylar Astins vocalizations are NEVER the same. Like it was different wen i went to see it. Different on the recording track and different this time. But its all just so fuckin beautiful.
He actually was crying, along with most of the theater at that point. It was heart-wrenching.
Gideon, Brian Charles Johnson and Skylar are the backbone of this freakn song... this can't be sung properly without those 3..

Six years ago tonight, Skylar took the stage one last time as Georg. Lots of lives were changed that night, with new beginnings as well as the final five OBC cast members leaving the show. There will never be another night like it, ever. Thanks for the memories.
You can see that Brian and skylar are giving it their all because its their last performance. Its so sad to watch this :'(

As much as I miss Groff, JGJ, and Gideon, this is HANDS DOWNS my favorite performance of "Touch Me"! I ADORE Skylar's solo, but this one was his best ever! You can tell @3:33 he's just like "F*** yea!"
My heart breaks at Skylar's part every time at like 3:33 it looks like he's about to cry cause it's his last time :"(
I've never listened to this song with this version of the cast, but the vocals in this are amazingly beautiful!!
i actually feel so stupid asking this question now! i've watched the whole of SA 5 times and now i'm obsessed with all the cast not just Skylar. i really wish i could see the original cast perform it on broadway again one day!
but only because of pitch perfect. yeah he's really cute in that but people don't realize he's actually an AMAZING singer. they just 'love' him for playing jesse. but i am happy for him :)
