12:29 the paint on that one is super nice. Love it and that Nomad wagon at 8:37 has the patina on it that Puddin would love.
So much patina!! Most of the car shows I go to have too much shiny paint, it blinds you. It's unusual to see one where a big worn spot can win you "Best of Show". And I say that with much affection. 👍 I live down here in the south and I must be one of the few that's never been to Buccees. Looks like an awesome place! Lots of nice cars and trucks! We don't have car shows like this in the Tampa Bay area. The closest thing we have is all the new car dealerships....by the way I saw that 63 Galaxie you sailed by. My number 1 favorite.

You see Mortske, this is why your channel to me is without a doubt the most relatable channel on CZcams to me, maybe pole barn garage is in that talk. But seeing you walk through these shops with cars I’ll never be able to afford with parts I couldn’t afford, nor justify needing on said cars I can’t afford, well I make due with what I have and use creativity and ingenuity to have something cool. I appreciate that and respect that from you.
The situation a lot of us face is not having a place to work on our cars. Vintage vehicles can be had for cheap. The cars in this show probably were. The real investment is in the time and labor takes to restore them.
@@KameraShy yeah, if I had a big enough shop with a lift (or hoist 🤣), I'd get a whole lot more done. That is my goal, maybe one day. Until then I'll be not having fun being outside in the Florida sun rolling around on the ground when I want to do anything to my truck.

We used to go to the Turkey Rod & StreetRun I’m Daytona every Thanksgiving. Loved it, but didn’t feel like going alone after my husband died. They were fun times.

Hiya Mr Mortske minus Duff....Took my kid to a big car show here close to home. So much eye candy. Never seen so many Studebakers and Internationals in my life. Also 442's, Novas, Vets, Camaro,old trucks etc. Glad one of my kids like that stuff. Great video btw. Sorry for the yapping haha
That was a really great car show, that's amazing to see all that beauty in one place. All the cars and trucks are beautiful in their own right but that Hudson pick up really is nice. New surprisingly walked right on by a diamond t, I could tell it was by the way it is 😂 I knew pet peeve of mine is Mortske not slowing down to look at the vehicles I'm really interested in 😂 anyway I thought it was really cool that you videoed the experience and shared it with all of us. When you are back in the shop I think Duff was ignoring you, he knew you went out and had fun without him. 👍✌️🇺🇲

Thanks for the video, I was in the swap meet so I couldn't get out to look at too many cars. You actually shoewd some of the vintage goodies in the meet though so thanks for that too! Ive been to Roundup every year since the first one in 2002, and I think there were more pickups, wagons, panels and commercial vehicles there this year than I've ever seen at this show. I mean, i know, it's Texas, gotta have a pickup, but I've not ever seen this many there.
I live in Tx & of course have been to Buc ee's all over the state .
There are a few things you can count on...
1) Its always crowded.
2) The food is great .
3) Restrooms are clean.
4) You better have a few extra minutes if you're goin inside !
5) You can buy a gas grill there if you have a mind to..

That '47 Hudson pickup is my favorite. Some very cool rides at this event ! Glad you got to attend !
The reason for the 47 Hudson was made from a car to a pick up was a fast change at the factory because people wanted gas coupons during the war and pickups got more coupons than sedans so people wanted them .
They came after the war however

That is a helluva good show. Mortske might enjoy the Route 66 car show coming up August 26, 2023 in Beautiful Berwyn Illinois outside Chicago. (Safe there.) 500+ vehicles.

Lone Star is the best show I've been to. Iola in Wisconsin might be bigger, but is more swap meet than car show. Lone Star seems to be the reverse.
