    • @benporter6062
      @benporter6062 Před 3 lety +27

      It's actually better than that. In this scene he shoots the first guy at point blank, which causes the blood to spurt up and block his vision. Making him miss his next shot.
      Later on in the film, he does the same thing with the Australian mining company. However this time when he shoots at point blank he covers his eyes. His next shot is on target.
      It's a neat little detail.

      The super gore nest deserves love and yeah man I agree

    • @peterdubinsky5389

      @@sunscreeneater5937 the full version of the only thing they fear is you that starts out slow and easier paced and actually builds with no cuts in it at all is the best piece in doom eternals soundtrack for sure but yeah too many people are lazy and want to go with what everyone else knows instead of improving upon or improvising a more effective showcasing of some scenes with more songs than just that one and it is stupid. Doom eternal has a very rich metal gorey soundtrack and it’s super nice to apply to multiple action scenes and I’m yet to see one with the super gore nest which arguably has the most aggressive bass line to it of all of doom eternals music since it’s a successor to rip and tear from doom 2016 which it sounds incredibly similar to and meshes super fucking beautifully with. I am a musician and can tell you those two songs could be bridged together as sister songs at a Mick Gordon concert super effectively and the crowd would absolutely go fucking insane because both songs are the same keys and could be two movements to one song since both are close enough in similarity that they pretty much are and motherfuckers love fugues which is when a song has the same sound with multiple movements but it’s just repeated and alternated in the same sound like a four chord progression song that you always listen to but instead it covers many more techniques with unique flare thrown into it instead of cutting shit short and keeping it dull and unamusing. Keep in mind metal and prog are from classical and older periods of music in their origin as they have so much more raw emotion and emphasized techniques that demand more respect and attention than most other shit. Mick Gordon is a fucking genius and I’d love listening to more works from him unrelated to doom because he’s got the right idea and a bright mind in a field full of people neglected and shamed for dabbling with Magic’s that only are enjoyed and given worship when it can be applied, understood, or rather found within another’s soul in a way that they relate to the message or feelings and it’s unfortunate because musicians deal with a lot of loneliness the deeper in they are I feel despite it having a great understanding of harmony, a huge deal of discipline and perseverance going into the skill development required to do that shit, and just so much fucking humility to fail time and time again in a field where you do not usually ever get paid a fair amount for your hard work because you mostly do it just because you want to and not because other people appreciate it let alone you unless it has any sort of attachment or desirable thing attached to it particularly for them. I mean if you like this music yeah you may enjoy what I described about the connecting of two powerful songs from a great ass musical composer since Mick is better than a straight up “musician” but keep in mind this guy isn’t being given the proper respect even now and you’re not hearing his best shit right now either let alone experiencing his work live which is the best experience you could really get from his stuff. Just please be courteous to guys who do that much work into music like him they’re very underappreciated and praise is more than money for anyone within the field, they do it because it makes them happy and satisfied with themselves not because they want the money alone. Thank you for reading this far if you did please live a good life full of love and happiness and don’t be afraid to work for that to keep it good(:

    Quentin Tarantino has a wonderful way with film.
    I'll never forget sitting in Inglourious Basterds' theatre in 2009 and watching everyone cheer as Hitler and his lot get brutally gunned down in Shosanna's cinema, with Hitler himself taking multiple 9mm's to the face, and Tarantino showing every consecutive shot interspersed with Donnie and Ulmer's maniacal laughter- when just moments before they were practically booing at the exact same image from the perspective of a 1940's German (the movie Hitler and co were watching in the movie was of a German sniper taking out Ally after Ally, with the audience in the movie cheering loudly at the scenes).
    It struck me as ironic. Of course we can say with relative ease that one ideology is evil and another pure, but we kid ourselves by simplifying it to that point. In reality, people are tribal- and we love watching "our" tribe mercilessly destroy the "other" one- reverse the situation, and all of a sudden it's reprehensible.
    He does it again here, with Django: Unchained. It triggers a feeling of righteous justice in us, when the 'bad guys' get brutally murdered in a show of satirical violence, when that is precisely the opposite of true justice in a judiciary sense. "Every man deserves his day in court" and all that.
    In a way, Tarantino brings out the worst in us, and we applaud it all the way. Nadine Hussein from Inquiries Journal says it beautifully: _"Tarantino directly challenges the glorification of heroism and cultural superiority embedded in the American collective memory of WWII by replicating the susceptibility of the spectator to the effects of fascism and propaganda in film."_ (On Inglourious Basterds).
    He is holding up a satirical, violent mirror to society; he is showing us that we are no better than our enemies, and brilliantly, most of us don't even realize it- further proving his point.

      man cultures are so different then, I'm german myself and I've never witnessed people cheering, booing or anything remotely similar collectively in a movie (not talking about any topic specifically) yes there will be laughing and shocked frowns etc. but cheering or booing a movie screen? that's kind of odd around here
      on the topic I must say I've never quite looked at it like that, it's an interesting view
      I liked how tarantino displayed that not all germans were just evil nazis as an easy "they're just the baddies" trope, but also just simple soldiers

    • @WhitefoxSpace
      @WhitefoxSpace Před 2 lety +1

      @@brohvakiindova4452 it's not necessarily that everyone is always loudly booing or cheering, but a combination of things. You get an idea for how a cinema experiences a movie. For instance cheers aren't necessarily "yay woo-hoo" but laughter and generally, approval. You can also get an idea after you walk out, hearing what people are saying. But in Inglourious it was almost forced how obvious it was that the cinema approved. It was a super tense movie and with it finally getting the good ending people wanted I guess they released that tension uproariously.
